Dakota Fanning and Robin Wright Penn were in NYC last night for the premiere of their film Hounddog, which is finally being released after screenings at Sundance in 2007. Kirsten Dunst isn't a member of the cast, but she still managed to take a night off from her sports fandom to attend the premiere. The movie includes Dakota's controversial rape scene, but the heavy subject matter seemed pretty far from her mind as she posed and smiled her grown up evening away.

The Sundance Film Festival kicked off on Thursday in Park City, Utah, and I've been busily seeking out the films that look the most promising. I already shared what look to be this year's must-see comedies, and for today's installment, I'm back to introduce you to four more picks, this time in the drama category.
Chapter 27
Given the subject matter (John Lennon's murder) and the star power (Lindsay Lohan, Jared Leto), Chapter 27 is likely to be a mainstream hit in no time.

Brooke Shields shocked audiences back in 1978 when the 12-year-old's fleshy portrayal of a child prostitute in Pretty Baby hit the silver screen. But more shocking was the fact that her momager negotiated the deal.
Controversy again erupted back in the mid-nineties when 11-year-old Kirsten Dunst shared an on screen kiss with much older actor, Brad Pitt in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles.

One of the most controversial films at Sundance this year, Dakota Fanning's Hounddog, turned out to be...not all that controversial. The film contains a scene in which Fanning's character is raped by a slightly older boy, but the final cut is not nearly as explicit as initial reports were saying. Ahhh, leave it to the old rumor mill to make things out to be more than they actually are.
