From Burke's tremor to George's father to Meredith's mommy issues, no show kept me glued to the couch last season quite like "Grey's Anatomy." So I can't wait for my chance to relive all the best parts of season three with the "Grey's Anatomy" Season Three: Seriously Extended DVD available now from ABC, our generous sponsor for this post.
The seven-disc set includes four episodes with bonus footage, commentary tracks, favorite scenes, a feature on Jane Doe, and private time with Patrick Dempsey, which I think would make pretty much any purchase worthwhile.

There's a new sheriff in town on Grey's Anatomy this week, and his name's Derek Shepherd. Instead of a shiny badge, Derek comes brandishing a snazzy new outfit (complete with tie!) to move into his new office, greet the surgeons as their chief, and most important — square off with Webber yet again.
Elsewhere, Lexie and Mark continue their relationship issues, Cristina gets burned (literally), and Bailey gets her confidence shaken by a patient.

Wow, blink and you may have missed some intense drama on this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy. The Chief's behavior continues to spiral out of control as increased tension develops between Derek and Meredith; Cristina, Owen, and Teddy dance around the elephant in the room; and Izzie returns ready to repair her broken marriage — but how long is she planning to stay?
Love triangles, alcoholics, and the fat lady — or, in this case, man — hasn't even sung.

As evidenced in my holiday TV sneak peek, this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy puts the doctors on a fast track that starts on Thanksgiving eve and runs through New Year's Eve. As we all know by now, the Seattle Grace surgeons aren't always big on merriment, but the holidays are always the perfect time to bring out the truth in feelings and relationships.
Meredith bonds with the Chief while Mark learns that he has a teenage daughter.

This week I felt like Grey's Anatomy is finally getting back on track. The episode has a very sad central focus, as Arizona faces the inevitable loss of a young patient, but was nicely rounded out with the usual relationship issues, comic relief, and a few sweet moments.

They're baaaaack! This week on Grey's Anatomy, Meredith, and Izzie make their returns to Seattle Grace/Mercy West, though only Mere is back in scrubs. Izzie heads back to the hospital with her favorite high-school teacher in tow, a sweet guy who's suffering from what appears to be dementia and is constantly referring to Izzie as a pregnant teen.

Derek Shepherd has been on the periphery of Seattle Grace for the first few episodes of this season of Grey's Anatomy, but this week he's back — and in a big way. As Derek tries yet again to work his magic on a seemingly inoperable tumor, he also provokes a long-coming showdown with the Chief. As for the other doctors, Cristina's still frustrated about her lack of surgeries, and Alex still can't get through to Izzie.

The title of this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy says it all. Meredith finds herself between a rock and a hard place when her dad enters Seattle Grace in need of a liver transplant, and she's the only viable donor. Meanwhile, the Chief is still trying to navigate the merger, and Izzie continues to struggle with the transition from patient back to doctor.

Another one bites the dust. This week Grey's Anatomy took a break from the typical episode fodder, and instead we are treated to a whodunnit-style murder mystery when one of the doctors loses a patient in the midst of a crisis situation. We hear each doctor's story one by one, and when the cause of death is finally discovered someone is sent home.
