Leighton Keeps Things Buttoned Up For Gossip Girl

Leighton Meester joined Chace Crawford, Blake Lively and Ed Westwick yesterday on the NYC set of Gossip Girl. Unlike her edgier performance look at Tuesday's American Eagle party, Leighton kept things prim and proper as she got into character as Blair Waldorf. You guys aren't quite sure what to make of Leighton's tendencies to strip down when she goes into musical mode, but she's not the only Upper East Sider who likes to show a bit of skin.

Gossip Girl Gang Keep Their Clothes on For Filming

The Gossip Girl gang were out on the streets on New York yesterday filming. Blake Lively wore bright blue trousers, while Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick were wrapped up warm in big grey coats. Leighton Meester toned down her eye-catching makeup from this week's American Eagle party as she transformed back into Blair, but she's still making headlines by stripping down for American GQ. The show itself made headlines because of a controversial plot, but Jessica Szohr has defended it saying it was fun to film and tastefully done.

Chace and Taylor Film While Ed and Jessica Stay in Fashion

The cast of Gossip Girl spread out all over NYC yesterday. Taylor Momsen was dressed up to film alongside Chace Crawford, who was back on set after turning out to support Blake Lively at a screening of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee over the weekend. It was Ed Westwick's turn to get fancy last night, when he joined girlfriend Jessica Szohr at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. The ceremony tends to bring out fashion's heavy hitters, and Ed and Jess spent their evening celebrating Sophie Theallet's win among models and designers. Meanwhile, last night's WTF moment-filled episode featured the Lady Gaga cameo you were looking forward to, as well the usual gorgeous interiors, beauty, and fashion.

Yay Gaga! Otherwise, though, this episode was sad on so many levels. No one is loved, and everyone except Chuck and Rufus has apparently lost the ability to be funny. Good thing they look so pretty, no? You were probably bored to tears by the episode (except for the end, of course), so I'm thinking you'll do well this week. Can beauty redeem a sucky plot line? Were You Ever Attracted to Bad Boys?

With her rocker eyeliner, all-black wardrobe, and perfected eye roll, Gossip Girl's Jenny Humphrey isn't exactly fitting in with the prissy kids at her prep school. It's obvious that she needs a bad boy by her side, and on last night's episode that's just what she gets.

Jenny meets up with a Belgian diplomat's son, who happens to be drug pusher. She seems turned on or at least intrigued by his rebellious side and ends up helping him with some sales. Luckily, original bad boy Chuck Bass (they know his name even in Europe) is there to save Jenny from the dangers of drugs. But now that she's had a taste of the fast life, I suspect she'll be back for more, especially since she already has the wardrobe.

Although Jenny's appearance in the episode is otherwise pointless, it did remind us that sometimes we can be attracted to bad boys - even if it's completely stupid. Have you ever had a thing for troublemakers?
