Is Glee Headed Toward a Burnout?

It seems like we can't go a week without at least one piece of Glee-related news. So much so that it's hard to believe that the cast is even "technically" on hiatus! Let's recap: along with a recent stop at Paleyfest, they have an Oprah appearance on the books and a mini-tour lined up. Oh yeah, and the show returns next month. Aren't these kids tired enough already?! Now this morning comes word that the series is in talks for a musical stage adaptation, too.

Now, I'm a Gleek through and through, but I'm starting to fear overkill. I'd hate to see my beloved show hit a fever pitch only to actually lose fans to burnout. It just seems that it's going to be hard to keep up with this precedence of hype - and I would imagine that the actors themselves need a break, too.

The Glee cast headed to Paleyfest at the weekend to promote the show, spilling audition secrets and talking about what's to come in series two - which they're filming right now! Jayma Mays, Matthew Morrison, Mark Salling, Jessalyn Gilsig and Dianna Agron were among those that attended, along with Cory Monteith, Kevin Mchale, Jenna Ushkowitz and Chris Colfer! In the next episode to air in the UK on E4 next Monday, the gang get their big break in a mattress advert and you can check out two fun preview clips of the episode under the cut - let me know what you think!

Todrick Hall may have been edged out of the American Idol spotlight last week, but the former contestant isn't ready to step out of the spotlight just yet. He's started a campaign to land himself a role on Glee - perfect timing, since we know the show is looking to beef up the cast before season two. This week the Glee kids meet their rival choirs, and Eve cameos! In Monday's episode - airing at 9pm on E4 - we get a song-filled episode and I have a couple of preview clips for you. In the first one there's a high energy routine featuring "Bootylicious", and in clip two "Imagine" is put to use by a deaf choir that's in competition with our favourites. The Glee Gang Get Together to Support Quinn and Finn

With head cheerleader Quinn pregnant, and Finn thinking that he's the father, the Glee gang will get together this week to show the couple some support... through song, of course! This episode airs on Monday night at 9pm on E4 - but I have a couple of sneak peeks for you! In the first one, Kurt encourages Finn to sing his emotions out about his unborn child, only to have someone close to him overhear. In the second clip the whole club band together to show their friends that they're going to stand by them. Let me know what you think!
