- Director Francis Ford Coppola shares his marital frustrations in a new interview with the Village Voice. While this sounds like a backward outlook on gender roles, I can't help but hope that Coppola was somehow giving his talented wife a teasing compliment.

Happy Hour: Encyclopedia

I'm a huge fan of Francis Ford Coppola's Sofia Sparkling wine, so when I heard the famed director had released a new label, Encyclopedia ($15.00), I was eager to check it out. With its beaker-shaped bottle, Encyclopedia appeals to the younger wine drinker. According to Coppola the wine is "about learning and exploring. It's for people who want to know more about wine and how it is connected to geography, to history, to myth."

There are six varieties: Pinot Grigio, Tempranillo, Malbec, Riesling, Torrontés, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each is made with grapes from the variety's native region. For example, the Pinot Grigio is made with grapes from delle Venezia, Italy and the Tempranillo comes from Yecla, Spain. The wines represent and respect the tradition and culture of each wine-making region.

I tried the Riesling and the Cab and found both delightful, well-balanced, and highly drinkable. I hope to try the rest soon. If you are new to wine, or enjoy sipping new wines, I highly recommend seeking out Encyclopedia. When the wine is gone, the bottle makes a pretty vase!

Fab Ad: Louis Vuitton Core Values Campaign Featuring Francis and Sofia Coppola

The newest addition to Louis Vuitton's core values campaign features prestigious filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola and his daughter Sofia sitting in the countryside of Buenos Aires. Shot by Annie Leibovitz, the ad, which is the fifth in its series of exceptional people, depicts Francis sitting with script in hand, taking on an engaging conversation with his beautiful daughter. Amongst all the picturesque scenery, a Louis Vuitton bag is nonchalantly thrown into the mix.

All of this natural scenery is nice but has me wondering: What does it all mean? Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton Senior VP of Communication and Marketing, explains it best: "This beautiful visual is a significant new addition to the core values campaign. Not only does it capture the unique quality of a father-daughter relationship, in which both are enriched by a shared experience, but it also evokes the heritage of Louis Vuitton with its suggestion of know-how being passed from one generation to the next." As well, the company is making a donation to The Climate Project on behalf of the famous father and daughter duo. Does this ad pull at your heartstrings?

On Our Radar: Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola for Louis Vuitton

The newest additions to the Louis Vuitton Core Values Campaign, which has featured the likes of Keith Richards, Steffi Graf, and Andre Agassi so far, are Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola.

The father-daughter directing duo recently posed for Annie Leibovitz in Argentina as part of the brand's mission to underscore its historical roots in luggage and travel. I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like; I haven't seen Fabcon Sofia model in a while!

Bono recieved a liberty medal for his humanitarian work in Africa in Philadelphia yesterday. We can't wait to see what other great things he brings us in the future. - AP

Yesterday, Sofia Coppola spoke out about her appearance in the Louis Vuitton ad campaign and today we can reveal one of the images from the adverts featuring Sofia and her father, Francis Ford.

It shows Francis and Sofia relaxing appearing in to be in deep conversation as Francis informs Sofia of the ways of the world! It's definitely an intriguing shot and will leave you wondering, what are they talking about?

I'm sure either way this is going to be an ad campaign that leaves you with an opinion and we want to know about it! Do you love it, or hate it?

In March Louis Vuitton revealed their Keith Richard ad campaign featuring the rocker looking slightly haggard. Today it was announced that Louis Vuitton have bagged both Francis Ford AND Sofia Coppola for their next line of ads.

Celebrated photographer Annie Leibovitz continues to shoot the ads which have also featured Mikhail Gorbachev and Catherine Deneuve. We can't wait to see the finished images!

Fab Flash: Sofia Coppola Speaks About Louis Vuitton Ads

In April we revealed that the latest Louis Vuitton ad campaign would feature not one, but two members of the Coppola family. Sofia and her father Francis Ford agreed to star in the ad campaign with previous stars involved including Keith Richards and Mikhail Gorbachev. Sofia spoke to The Times about her decision to appear,

"I liked the ad Annie shot with Keith Richards. It was flattering to be asked. Plus I've known Marc Jacobs since I was 18. We had mutual friends and started hanging out together. I remember asking my mom to take me to see Perry Ellis when he was designing there. I still have a box of clothes from that grunge collection somewhere."

She also confessed to not being very comfortable in front of the camera, "Annie's used to shooting people who aren't models. On the red carpet I'm self-conscious. The best way is not to look at the camera."

Sofia Coppola Directs Dior Ad

Filmmaker and writer Sofia Coppola is going commercial. After starring in the Louis Vuitton ads with her father Francis Ford Coppola, Sofia has admitted to WWD that she's been directing the latest adverts for Parfums Christian Dior's Miss Dior Chérie fragrance. If her recent films are anything to go by, we're expecting a rich visual feast.

"It's about a young woman in Paris," Coppola told WWD at the Nina Ricci show at Paris Fashion Week, but added “it’s too early to say any more.” She also told the paper that she's writing a new film, but wouldn't give away any more details.

The new Miss Dior Cherie commercial will air worldwide, early next year. It stars Byelorussian model Maryna Linchuk and will have a young, glamorous air to reflect the image of Dior's youthful scent. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see it. Watch this space.
