Kid Rock was on hand last night to help Jeremy Piven celebrate the upcoming release of The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard in Las Vegas. Jeremy walked the red carpet along with Will Ferrell, who was one of the film's producers as well as a guest star. We often see Jeremy posing for photos with the Entourage boys, but it should be interesting to how his latest big screen effort fares at the box office this weekend.

Dane Cook Tells Vanessa Hudgens to Keep Her Clothes on - Funny or He Crossed the Line?

The Teen Choice Awards were on Sunday in LA, but the program aired last night minus one controversial moment. Dane Cook took the stage and referenced Vanessa Hudgens's latest nude photo scandal saying, "Girl, you gots to keep your clothes on! Phones are for phone calls, girl." Vanessa didn't look too pleased, though she managed to smile when the cameras panned to her. Dane defended his comments by saying he just wanted to be funny, but tell us what you think - was his comment funny or across the line?

Robert, the Twilighters, and Britney Make a Fun Teen Choice

The Teen Choice Awards were filmed in Universal City last night, but you'll have to wait until this evening to see them on the air. If you want all the spoilers, check out the full winner list here. The show was full of fun moments and, of course, lots of artful cutaways to check in on the Twilight kids. The Jonas Brothers looked like they were having a blast hosting the big night, which began and ended with their performances. They also participated in a series of fan-chosen dares throughout the night - including Nick hugging fans and Joe getting a faux-haircut. Britney's big moment came after a sweet introduction from Miley Cyrus, but Brit didn't hang out on stage long. Her standard short thank-you-to-the-fans speech was enough, but she looked fantastic in her minidress. Speaking of showing some skin, Miley's performance of her new single involved some tiny shorts and risque moves with a pole.

The Twilight cast were skillfully moved around during the show, but ended up sitting together before they received a slew of awards. There were too many to do one by one, so the whole group went up together to accept the batch. Taylor took the lead, but Robert wasn't going to get away without talking. He joked that he was asked to stretch out the show so he rambled a bit, seeming a little more loosened up than when he took the stage with Megan Fox earlier. Other highlights included Zac Efron's effusive speech, the Black Eyed Peas', Cameron Diaz, and Ellen DeGeneres winning for her Twitter. Courteney Cox and Lauren Conrad brought along their guys David Arquette and Kyle Howard to a launch party for the video game Fallout 3 in LA last night. Love must have been in the air, as Lauren and Kyle got kissy on the dance floor after spending their day together at the beach while Winona Ryder received some love from the event's promoter, Josh Richman. It wasn't all about romance, however, as stars like Nick Lachey, Mischa Barton, Emile Hirsch were all rolling solo to get their first taste of the new game, enjoy the live music and party the LA night away.

Box Office: Lakeview Terrace Wins So-So Weekend

Lakeview Terrace, a thriller starring Samuel L. Jackson, came in at No. 1 at the box office over the weekend and performed relatively well with an estimated $15.6 million. Second place went to the Coen brothers' comedy Burn After Reading which continues to also do well at the box office, earning an estimated $36.4 million over its first ten days.

Around the No. 3 spot on this weekend's box office report things start to look a little gloomy, starting with the Dane Cook-Kate Hudson comedy My Best Friend's Girl. The movie only earned about $8.3 million, perhaps a result of some harsh reviews (or maybe it was just the poster, as Cook whined, that drove audiences away).

The animated family film, Igor, came in fourth place followed by Righteous Kill in fifth. Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys and The Women rounded out the sixth and seventh place respectively, and a movie I enjoyed, Ghost Town, opened at No. 8.

Kate, Dane and Jason Premiere Their Best Friend's Girl

It was all laughs at the LA premiere of My Best Friend's Girl last night. Kate Hudson, Dane Cook and Jason Biggs looked like they kept it light showing off their romantic comedy. Bubbly Kate Hudson rolled solo in her little dress while Dane Cook showed off quite the slicked back 'do. Only newlywed Jason brought a date, his new wife Jenny Mollen. The movie hits theaters this weekend so we'll see if it can wrangle the No. 1 box office spot from Burn After Reading thanks to this funny trio including this famous beautiful blonde.

This Just In: Dane Cook Has a New Kitchen

Funny man/actor Dane Cook has purchased a 4,405-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath home in Los Angeles for $7,078,412. The listing for the property reads:

Extraordinary modern oasis by Alessandro Munge-Munge/Leung Design Associates. Incredible secluded site with staggering views of the entire city, and all the way to the ocean. Extremely high quality materials such as Travertine Navona floors, Rift oak cabinetry, and African Namibia marble counter tops and bathrooms. Resort-style outdoor entertainment areas look out to a large flat grassy lawn and spectacular views.

I must say this is a pretty fabulous modern pad, with killer city views. Let's just hope Cook doesn't go wild on furniture shopping; that extra $12 on the sale price may have really set him back. But who needs furniture when you've got the girl?

Do Movie Posters Ever Change Your Mind?

You've probably read by now that Dane Cook has decried the poster for his upcoming rom-com, My Best Friend's Girl, crafting a detailed list on his MySpace page of everything wrong with it. Cook is mostly offended by what he believes to be a poor Photoshop job that results in him looking like a schmuck.

Yet, he also expresses concern that "the wrong poster sends the wrong audience into the theater," a lesson he has purportedly learned the hard way. Which, of course, makes one wonder what kind of audience Cook originally thought would view this movie, and in what drastic ways the audience has now changed based on this poster.

Sidenote: I am seriously enjoying BestWeekEver's version of a poster for the movie that Cook might be prouder to display.
