I thought I had a good handle on the woman, the legend, Coco Chanel: Gabrielle, a magical seamstress, androgynous, smoker. Little did I know when I sat down to see Coco Before Chanel that I was going to embark on an emotional roller coaster — beautiful, deep, tear-inducing.
Naturally, a big part of the film is the wardrobe, but don't go expecting extravagance.

You cannot deny the impact that Coco Chanel has had on the fashion industry. She changed womenswear forever and offered us an alternative to layers of underwear and corsets. Today the movie Coco Before Chanel is released telling the story of her younger years, and the film has encouraged many other design houses to reflect her designs in their work.

Unless you've been hiding somewhere that the internet doesn't reach for the past month, you'll be aware that the long-awaited Coco Before Chanel film is finally released across the UK today. The story of Gabriella "Coco'" Chanel's early life stars Audrey Tatou and is sure to impress, not least because of its Karl Lagerfeld guided wardrobe. Last night, the Queens of Vintage organised the first ever fash-mob event at London's St Pancras station (aptly where Eurostar departs for Paris) as stylish ladies put on their best Chanel and pearls (or nearest thing) and grouped together to celebrate the film's release.

The long awaited movie Coco Before Chanel opens across the UK tomorrow as we finally get to learn about the iconic designer as portrayed by Audrey Tautou. Last night, fashionistas gathered in London's Charlotte Street Hotel to celebrate over a few glasses of champagne. The most exciting fashion film of the year has to be Coco Avant Chanel starring the gorgeous Audrey Tautou. The French film has gathered a lot of hype throughout it's production owing to an impressive wardrobe and a little guidance from Karl Lagerfeld. We've already seen stills from the film and it is finally released across the UK on 31st July.

You saw the movie trailer, now it's time to get up close and personal with scenes from the upcoming Coco Before Chanel. Fun fact: Keira Knightley was originally offered the role of Madame Chanel, but French actress Audrey Tatou ended up the star. But if you ask Karl, he prefered Penelope Cruz.

After much anticipation, the first Coco Avant Chanel movie trailer starring our fabulous Fabcon, Audrey Tautou, has finally released. The preview is in French, but that doesn't mean we can't come to our own conclusions about the plot. We do know it focuses on her earlier life, growing up and the budding stages of the house of Chanel.

Stephen Jones has taken a role in the highly anticipated film, Coco Before Chanel featuring Audrey Tautou. The sought-after milliner, who has designed head pieces for some of the top fashion houses including Mugler, Gaultier, and Christian Dior, will be creating hats for our little French Fabcon in the upcoming biopic.
"She will make a wonderful Chanel, she is equally as petite.
