Ladies and gentlemen, Ryan Reynolds is a movie star! Between his scene-stealing performance in Wolverine and the box office success of The Proposal, there's no denying his screen-king status.
But all that momentum isn't stopping him from dabbling in smaller, independent projects.

I was already bummed knowing this was the last week of new episodes of The Vampire Diaries until January; and now, having seen it, I'm freaking out a little bit. I knew there was going to be an epic cliffhanger, I just didn't know how epic!
With new vampires, violence and passion come "The Turning Point" — a title that would apply to many things that happened this week.

You may recall that Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creator behind Gilmore Girls, left the show shortly before its final season because of disagreements with Warner Bros — but now, she reveals in a recent interview that she'd like to bring back Lorelai and Rory to the big screen!
I hope that some Hollywood studios are listening, and take her up on her suggestion. While it's just a wish of hers (and mine) at the moment, I miss the pop culture quips and sweet relationship moments that the Gilmore women delivered each week.

In a technology trend that's even more disturbing than my little sister texting at the dinner table, it seems that the hot thing in funerals is to be buried with your cell phone.
I know that I have stated rather emphatically how much I love my cell phone (and maybe "swooned over" is truer than "stated"), but taking that vow to the grave — literally — is pretty major.
The article goes on to mention that this is not limited to phones — some people have been buried with iPod earbuds in, music playing — which I find kind of touching.

Oh, the pathos! I defy you to keep yourself from choking back a tear when Alex, the 14-year-old Dalmatian, is saved after being buried under ground for at least 2 days. After four days of searching and two days of digging, Alex's owner, overcome with emotion, cries out "I got my dog!"

After last week's wedding extravaganza on The Office, we come back to a Dunder Mifflin minus Jim and Pam. With the two lovebirds on their honeymoon, the focus shifts to Michael, who once again gets himself into a pickle with a guy — who he thinks — is affiliated with the mafia. I always love Andy, Dwight, and Michael banter, and this week's episode is full of it.
