Having a baby is a big decision no matter how a couple goes about it, but do some methods take more thought than others? In last night's season premiere of Brothers & Sisters, Kevin and Scottie look into starting a family via surrogate and learn the best case scenario costs $137,000. While Kevin is ready to take out a credit line on their condo to get the process going, Scottie experiences cold feet reading hundreds of pages of paperwork. Surrogacy involves outside parties as well as legal contracts, so it's understandable that Scottie wants time to figure out if he's ready for fatherhood. TV Tonight: ABC Dramas and Showtime Hits

It's a busy night for premieres! There are a few notable hour-long dramas returning for the Fall season tonight, so make sure your DVR is ready to go.

First Showtime has Dexter's fourth season premiere, followed by Californication's third. I can't wait to see how Dexter balances his life as a family man along with his serial issues. Then, on Californication there'll be more eye candy than just David Duchovny: Ed Westwick will be guest starring tonight, as I showed you in my sneak peek.

Over on ABC, it's the return of Desperate Housewives and we'll finally figure out who Mike chose (which my look at the season may or may not have revealed).

Then, at 10, Brothers & Sisters comes back, rounding out the night of drama. Not watching Showtime or ABC? Get animated with the series premiere of The Cleveland Show and the season premieres of The Simpsons and Family Guy.

TV Tidbits: Black, Morton, Dudek Nab New Roles

Fall TV is almost here, and I'm pumped to greet my favorite shows again. Part of the fun is seeing the new faces that come along, and today there's a batch of newcomers to meet.

The Daily Show's Lewis Black will make an appearance on The Big Bang Theory as a professor who's down on his luck. He'll only be on one episode - the second of the season - but I'm guessing it will be a memorable moment for the CBS sitcom.
Joe Morton will also be playing a professor next season, but he'll be heading to Brothers & Sisters. Morton has signed on for a recurring role as Justin Walker's anatomy teacher in med school. It sounds like he'll be a mentor type, but friendships don't stay scandal-free for long when it comes to the Walkers.
Anne Dudek will play Piper Perabo's sister on the new USA spy series Covert Affairs.Yay! I've been rooting for her for what feels like forever, since I still think she deserves an Emmy and completely made some of my favorite TV episodes. I'm glad to see she's found a new TV home, though I still would love to see her get a lead role.

Rachel Griffiths and husband Andrew Taylor have welcomed a daughter!

The new edition will join big sister Adelaide Rose, 3, and big brother Banjo Patrick, 5. With gorgeous names like those, I'm looking forward to finding out what the Brothers and Sisters star and her husband call their new baby girl.

A mother of two on her hit series Brothers and Sisters, actress Rachel Griffiths is now one up on her character Sarah. The talented actress and her husband Andrew Taylor welcomed a daughter to their growing brood. The baby girl will be joining her one-year-old sister Adelaide Rose and a five-year-old brother Banjo Patrick.

Forgive Husband For Missing Child's Birth Because of Work?

In a recent episode of Brothers and Sisters, Kitty and Robert's baby was born. While Kitty dashed to the hospital to be by the birth mother's side, Robert got held up at work and later had a medical emergency that kept him from witnessing the arrival of their son, Evan. Would you forgive your partner for missing such a monumental milestone because of work?

TV Tonight: Brothers and Sisters

Have you seen any of the promos for tonight's two-hour special episode of Brothers and Sisters? They're awfully intense, promising a birth, a death, and more than the average amount of Walker family drama.

In this episode - or, rather, these two episodes - Trish goes into labor with Kitty and Robert's baby. It's a big day for the couple, and not just for that reason: Robert's also planning on making public his decision to run for governor of California. Meanwhile, Rebecca continues to rekindle her relationship with her father, and she ends up discovering some more disturbing information that could destroy Ojai Foods and maybe even send a Walker to prison.

Apparently, this episode is a tearjerker and a surefire Emmy submission for Rob Lowe - but I don't want to say any more than that. Instead, I'll just be tuning in tonight to see what all goes down. What about you? To check out a promo for the episode, just read more.
