The costume designer for Annie Hall, Ruth Morley, essentially created androgynous dressing for women. Ok, not literally but Diane Keaton's title character shows how women can wear mens style clothes and still look stylish.

This season as chinos sneak back in to fashion Annie's style is relevant once again.

How many actresses can say that a single movie role they played spawned a whole fashion movement? Playing Annie Hall was so natural for Diane Keaton, her personal style reflects what Annie would wear today, were she real. Yes, Diane has made a few fashion faux pas, but what risk-taker hasn't? If you don't take risks in fashion, you can't be in the running for a style icon. What's more, when Kate Moss is inspired by your style, you know you've got something special going on.

What attracts me to Diane's personal style is her ability to pull off androgynous looks with utter sophistication - like no other woman in Hollywood. She found a fashion genre that works for her, so she's stayed endlessly true to it. Not many fashion insiders have that much loyalty to one style. And I'm not the only one who sings Diane's praises; Rachel Bilson, who often dabbles with the boy-meets-girl style, looks up to her, too:

"Diane Keaton always stays true to herself, stylewise, which I admire so much. And I love her menswearish Annie Hall-era outfits," she said in Lucky Magazine's March issue.

I'm so glad Diane was chosen to portray Annie Hall, because in the hands of another actress, who knows if the menswear trend would live on so strongly today!

The Results Are In: Recast Annie Hall

Every other Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

Wow, this week's recast challenge for Annie Hall prompted tons of awesome entries. I wish I could choose 10 winners - it was nearly impossible to pick just one. I especially loved allenorton's idea of John Cusack as Alvy paired with Zooey Deschanel as Annie. I also got a huge kick out of sfmastiffmom's Stephen Colbert and Tina Fey combo. Some of my favorite Alvy ideas were bart simpson's Creed Bratton from The Office (it's just funny), katie_c's Tony Shahloub and alethe16's Paul Giamatti.

And finally, because it's Super Tuesday, I have to give a special shout-out to janneth for her Hilary-Obama combination (with the genders reversed). That pretty much made my day.

These two are almost exactly the same ages that Woody Allen and Diane Keaton were when Annie Hall came out. Woody was 42, Diane was 31. Rainn Wilson is 42 and Amy Adams is 33.

Kate Bosworth and Amanda Peet embraced the menswear inspired fashion trend at the Rag & Bone Runway Show in Bryant Park yesterday. We love hearing all of our favorite celebrity fashionistas weigh in on the Spring 2008 designs, and Kate had nothing but praise for Rag & Bone's new line, saying, "I loved it! The clothes were easy to wear, effortless, chic. Each piece you could match with something else [you own]. It was great." Get the Look: Zooey Deschanel's Bedroom in 500 Days of Summer

After much anticipation, I finally saw 500 Days of Summer and loved it! Aside from the easy, romantic soundtrack, hip wardrobes, and counterintuitively hopeful plot, I fell for the movie's interiors, which are charming, inspiring, and easy to reproduce. In the film, Summer (Zooey Deschanel) is a recent transplant, and still has a few boxes sitting unpacked in her apartment. She also has plenty of interesting, vintage artwork in ornate gold frames, some well-traveled knickknacks, and as you might expect from any good indie flick, some cool posters. The most noticeable element of her apartment (a studio, I think) is the blue toile wallpaper you see upon entrance. French toile patterns date back to the 17th century, and they saw a rejuvenation in popularity about 10 years ago, when an antique or country look in interiors became popular. It's unusual to see it used in a city apartment, let alone that of a young woman. But somehow it works flawlessly for Summer, who rides around in a bicycle with a wicker basket, and is seen in conservative ensembles like wide-legged trousers with a vest (a girlish Annie Hall) or delicate, 1940s-style sundresses. Since now's the ideal time to consume copious amounts of shore food, it's only natural that I've come across a good share of recipes for freshly steamed lobsters served with drawn butter or wok-fried crabs tossed in garlic sauce. But I've got a confession to make: Although I frequently cook and eat the fruits of the sea, I've never actually prepared live seafood. Why?
