Who's Auditioning for the Justice League Movie?

Yup, Adam Brody, a.k.a. little indie Seth Cohen of The O.C. is trying out for a role in the Justice League movie. He's up against a slew of other young actors, as well as rapper Common who, in my humble opinion, would make a gorgeous addition to the cast.

What are the roles that need to be filled?
Director George Miller is looking for people to play Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter.

Who else is auditioning?
A good chunk of the Friday Night Lights cast (Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki, Scott Porter) is in the running, along with Joseph Cross (Running With Scissors), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Grindhouse), Michael Angarano (Sky High), Teresa Palmer (December Boys) and Max Thieriot (Jumper). The hopefuls are all on the young side because Miller is reportedly "looking for actors to grow into their roles over the course of several movies." So, which young actors do you think should play these superhero parts?

Yay or Nay: Comics Turned Movies?

With the HUGE success of The Dark Knight last weekend (and I do mean huge), it seems that graphic novels and comics turned movies are bigger than ever. Buzz (and Brian) agree with my opinion that Iron Man was one of the best super-hero movies to hit the theaters ever, and the newly released trailer for the Watchmen has me all giddy in anticipation for March! Adding to the already expanding list of comic book movies in the pipeline including Conan the Barbarian, The Justice League, and G.I. Joe, which are all slated to be making their big screen debuts in 2009.

It's comic overload! Are you stoked that your favorite comic books are being made into feature films, or are you over the crossovers?

Adam's Fitness Future Is So Bright He's Gotta Wear Shades

Adam Brody looked gym ready and adorable ducking into his car yesterday afternoon in LA. He's gotta keep that beach body in tip top shape, of course. Last year I was kind of over Adam after seeing a few too many smug interviews, but now he's all cute again in my book. Hopefully they'll start making The Justice League movie soon so he can get back to what got him voted most likely to find post OC success.

Hats Off to Adam Brody

Adam Brody covered up his new short 'do with a hat while having lunch with a friend in LA over the weekend. We loved the new cut but perhaps he's just not that into it. Either way, cute Adam is always welcome for a Monday Manjoyment treat. We wonder if he'll be heading back to the set of The Justice League again soon now that the strike is over? He probably wouldn't mind getting back to work, especially since it includes his rumored new lady friend.

Rachel Jumped Right on Someone Else's Role

Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, and Samuel L. Jackson made the requisite stop by TRL to promote Jumper yesterday. Fun fact: Rachel and Hayden weren't the original stars of the movie - director Doug Liman had two lesser-known actors all ready to go, but decided to change it up and make his characters a bit older at the last second. What's more random is that Rachel had a coincidental meeting with Teresa Palmer, the actress slated to play her part, just weeks before the switch. Rachel said,

"It was a couple of weeks before I got the call from Doug. I really liked her. It was really weird to meet the person and talk to her about it. She was having a really good time [on the film]. It was just sort of funny."

It must have been hard to lose the part, but apparently a role isn't the only thing Rachel and Teresa have in common. Rumor has it Palmer is dating her newest co-star in Justice League of America, Adam Brody. Good thing Rachel's got a new cute boy of her own.

Adam Brody Steams Up His Subway Run

Adam Brody was looking H-O-T hot leaving Subway with a friend in LA yesterday. I don't know if it's the hair or the outfit more, but it totally works for me. Give it up for the slender (scrawny? heh) boys! While I, like Buzz, pretty much despised his Sundance movie Death in Love, he was the best part of the film. Unfortunately, his next project, The Justice League Movie, has been put on hold due to the writers' strike. Until that gets back on track (or he gets another job), I'll just sit back and enjoy the more manly version of Seth Cohen.

PYTs Pick up Flashy New Sidekicks

Nothing brings out celebrities quite like the lure of a fancy new gadget and last night's launch party for the T-Mobile Sidekick LX was no exception. Nick Cannon was amongst the first in line for the party, which featured the stylings of Steve Aoki and DJ AM along with a performance by Kanye West. Seriously, is there anywhere he won't show up? What's next, his dentist's kid's Bar Mitzvah? Also on the pinkish carpet was Carmen Electra sporting those bangs that are so hot right now (just ask Ty-Ty). Bella wants to know - are you loving or hating Carmen's bangs? Fresh off her audition for the Justice League movie, the gorgeous Minka Kelly from Friday Night Lights flashed a smile while her maybe boyfriend John Mayer celebrated 30 in NYC. Fun times.

Jessica Biel to Fly Around in Spandex?

Jess Biel kept incognito making her way through JFK airport yesterday afternoon. I wonder if she was rocking out to some JT in those headphones? Not a bad way to be reminded of your bf while he's not by your side. It's been a surprisingly long time since we've seen Jessica the hard body working on her fitness, but that doesn't mean that casting directors have forgotten about her jaw dropping physique. In fact, she's in talks to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming Justice League movie. Just about every pretty brunette in Hollywood's name has been thrown around that part (Bilson, Beckinsale - maybe it's just the B names), so I'll believe it when I see it. I'm sure you can guess who I was hoping got the part, but Jessica certainly has the guns to play the woman with Amazonian strength.
