Do You Want to See a Devil Wears Prada Sequel?

In a recent interview with E!'s Ben Lyons, Anne Hathaway said she'd "love to work with everyone again" on a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. Sequels are certainly all the rage lately, and while some turn out well, sometimes they simply don't make sense and shouldn't be made.

Would you want to see a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada? And if so, what storylines would you like to see in a second movie? Even Hathaway is puzzled as to how a sequel would work, story-wise, so what would you suggest?

Does Your Personal Life Suffer When You're Succeeding at Work?

HBO has been on a The Devil Wears Prada kick lately, and while I've seen the entire film more than a few times, I've been catching bits and pieces of it over the past couple weeks with of course some overlapping. It's a fun movie that has me liking Emily's character more than Andy's the more I watch it, and among the exaggerated realities there are some chord-striking points that are admittedly relatable. One of the scenes I caught this weekend was this exchange between Nigel and Andy. Do you relate?

Andy: Sorry, it’s a busy day . . . my personal life is hanging by a thread. That’s all.
Nigel: Join the club. That’s what happens when you start doing well at work. Let me know when your whole life goes up in smoke. That means it’s time for a promotion.

What's Buzzworthy? Great Airplane Movies

At one time or another, we've all found ourselves on a long flight, desperate for any way to kill time. That's when the airplane movie comes in. In my opinion, the best airplane movies are pure entertainment (not too much thinking necessary), and they help pass the time so quickly you're on the ground before you know it.

The Devil Wears Prada was one of those for me. I somehow hadn't seen it by the time it hit airplane screens, but it was the perfect thing to chew up a couple of hours of my time on a cross-country flight last year. Even my boyfriend, who probably would have rolled his eyes if I'd rented it at home, had to admit it was a pretty fun movie.

So for this week's Buzzworthy challenge, I'm asking you to track down the best movies you've seen on planes. What's Buzzworthy: Books About Work

I sure hope none of you worked too hard over Labor Day Weekend on my buzzworthy challenge about work books. Even during a time meant for holding picnics and celebrating the last days of summer, you managed to chip in some great reads about work and career. Here are a few of my favorites:

The Second Shift
This book about mothers who also work outside the home was chosen by CupcakeGal10, who wrote: "I read this for a women's studies class, but the content of the book has stayed with me long after college. It's not fiction and may not be the kind of 'escape' book you take with you to bed, but it illuminates the problems faced by the working mother in today's society, the enormous responsibilities she bears, and the difficult choices she must often make between home and work."

The Devil Wears Prada
This story of working for an unbearable fashionista boss may be familiar to most of you by now, but I loved gruaig_rua's take on it: "Andrea Sachs goes to work for Miranda Priestly, the all-powerful editor of Runway magazine. Turns out Miranda is quite the bossyboots. That's pretty much the extent of the novel, but it's plenty. Miranda's behavior is so insanely over-the-top that it's a gas to see what she'll do next, and to try to guess which incidents were culled from the real-life antics of the woman who's been called Anna 'Nuclear' Wintour."

Educating Esme
I've always wanted to read this book by Esme Codell, and Linda McP's pick of the book has me further convinced. She wrote: "In this diary of her first year of teaching in an inner city public school, Codell shares her triumphs and sorrows and in doing so adds value to what is becoming one of the growing number of books about surviving against the odds. Educators and policy makers alike will find value in reading her daily entries."

300 Leads MTV Movie Awards Nominations

Last week we found out that Sarah Silverman will host the MTV Movie Awards, and now we know who will be vying for the coveted Golden Popcorn. 300 is leading the way with five nominations including Best Picture, followed by Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest with four and Blades of Glory, The Devil Wears Prada and Borat with three each.

Greatest potential for a catfight: the Best Performance category, which sees Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson going head-to-head for their Dreamgirls roles. Also, did I totally call Columbus Short's nomination for Best Breakout Star after Stomp the Yard, or what?

Oscar Worthy-Gadgets: The Devil Wears Prada Phones

Fab may have been checking out the hot messenger bag by La Rue that Andy carries in The Devil Wears Prada, but my eyes were locked on the Sidekicks that seemed to sneak into every single street scene in the movie. In fact, I even noticed a movie goof: At the end of the movie when Miranda, played by Meryl Streep, calls Andy, played by Anne Hathaway, in Paris, Andy looks at her T-mobile Sidekick and it's ringing. The phone shows Miranda's name and under it, it says, "Connecting." For it to say that, Andy would have had to call Miranda and her phone wouldn't have been ringing.

IMDB clued me in to another Sidekick blunder: In one scene, Andy throws her Sidekick into the fountain, she is holding it in one hand. The reverse shot of the face of the Sidekick shows her holding it with both hands. Still, Anne, Meryl and Emily Blunt looked smashing in the whole movie and their Sidekicks were just as flashy.
