"Survivor" begins its (gulp) 15th season just under a month from now, with 16 new contestants trying to outwit, outplay and outlast on islands off the coast of China. The grand poobah of all reality shows is still trucking along, but it's seemed to get less and less attention in its recent installments. Has "Survivor" finally become irrelevant?

A year after an earthquake devastated China's Sichuan province killing almost 90,000 people, the country remembered victims today during commemorative events.
The earthquake gave typically isolated China a chance to accept help from the rest of the world, and the disaster also prompted a discussion about China's reproductive laws, as the government lifted the "one child" policy for those who lost children in the quake. Today, those parents and other survivors point to shoddy construction of schools and other buildings as the cause of many deaths.

Beijing has really been in the spotlight this year. Firstly for the Olympics, and now Donatella has taken the Versace empire over there for the first ever fashion show for the brand in China. The charity show took place near Beijing's central Tiananmen Square and raised over $100,000 for survivors of the earthquake in China's Sichuan province earlier this year.

- China Quake Toll 12,000: The official death toll after the 7.8 earthquake in China yesterday now stands at 11,921, according to state media. The quake is China’s biggest natural disaster in three decades. Tens of thousands of people remain buried beneath rubble today and the authorities say more than 10,000 people are still unaccounted for in the city of Minzhu, and another 2,300 are missing following the collapse of a school and two factories in the town of Shifang.
