The Spirit Gets a New Trailer

The new trailer for the upcoming film The Spirit brings fans of Sin City back to the world of Frank Miller and his surreal,
noir-ish style. The description of the plot (based on a popular comic by Will Eisner) on IMDB is this: "Rookie cop Denny Colt returns from the beyond as The Spirit, a hero whose mission is to fight against the bad forces in Central City."

In the trailer we find a man in a Zorro-like mask (Because I Said So's Gabriel Macht) being tormented by the hot women in his world who all seem to want to have sex with him. . . or something. But apparently, this is a bad thing. And then Samuel L. Jackson storms across the screen in several crazy get-ups that include something of a Nazi uniform.

In other words: It's probably just the thing you'd expect from this director and I think his fans will be pleased.

The movie also stars Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, and Jaime King and will be released in theaters on December 25. To see the new trailer for yourself, read more.

Music Video: Timbaland Feat. the Hives, "Throw It On Me"

Yes, Timbaland and The Hives are a very unlikely pair. But "Throw It On Me," the collaboration between the hip-hop producer and the Swedish rock band on Timbaland Presents Shock Value, is actually pretty awesome. Now here's something even awesomer and weirder: the music video for "Throw It On Me," which pays homage to the film Sin City.

If you're confused about what these three things have to do with one another, well, so am I. But that doesn't make the video any less fun to watch. It's so oddly fitting, in fact, that "Throw It On Me" begins to seem like the perfect soundtrack to the movie. So check out the video when you read more

Schwimmer Puts Trust in Catherine Keener and Clive Owen

Behold, another project from a Friends alum: David Schwimmer will direct the upcoming film Trust, a drama about two parents dealing with the aftermath when their daughter becomes the target of an online sexual predator. Clive Owen and Catherine Keener will play the parents; newcomer Liana Liberato will star as their daughter.

This will be Schwimmer's second time in the director's chair, though the subject matter is a far cry from Run Fatboy Run. The plot sounds both intense and timely, and I have full faith that Keener and Owen will bring the required solid performances - especially after seeing Clive shine in a fatherly role in The Boys Are Back.

Jessica Slips on a Bikini For Ashlee's 25-Year-Old Pool Party

Jessica Simpson wore all black on the red carpet at Operation Smile's annual gala in Beverly Hills on Friday night before jetting off to Vegas to celebrate Ashlee's 25th birthday on Saturday. Ashlee stayed playful with Pete Wentz at the MGM Grand pool, kissing for the cameras in front of her towering cake - see her look. Ashlee was only in Sin City for the day before she had to get back to Bronx in LA, but she did gush about her week on tour with Pete and one of his gifts, a pair of Chanel shoes. Jessica posed in her sheer bikini cover-up showing off her legs and a messy 'do. She has been all over the world recently for The Price of Beauty with her dad along for the journey and he says that he's proud of her work on the show. Next up they're off to Morocco while Ashlee is back in California at work on Melrose Place.

Paris Hilton Somehow Manages to Balance It All

Paris Hilton was well-caffeinated for a shopping trip in LA yesterday. Since returning from her European vacation with Doug Reinhardt earlier this month, we've seen lots of the heiress making up for lost time at some of her favorite stores around the city. She'll need a few new outfits for a weekend trip to Vegas - Paris is heading to Sin City to launch her latest sunglasses collection at the Hard Rock Hotel.
