Ryan and Isla Definitely, Maybe Spotted Together For Lunch

Old pals Ryan Reynolds and Isla Fisher met up yesterday for a quick lunch in Beverly Hills amid news that they both have new projects. Isla will have her hands full tackling the role of a life coach, and Ryan's going to be exploring new territory too. He'll have to put his big muscles away for the project, which requires him to dress in drag. Even if we don't get to see Ryan's impressive guns, the yet-to-be-titled romantic comedy will be showcasing Ryan's equally endearing comedic skills.

Ryan Reynolds to Dress in Drag?!

Dude looks like a lady! Ryan Reynolds is one of Hollywood's hottest men, but for his next film he's going to be working those good genes as . . . a woman? The star just got cast in a new rom-com where he'll play a guy who cross-dresses in order to befriend his ex and win her back.

The man-in-lipstick thing has been way overdone, so the thought of yet another film kind of makes my eyes roll. On the other hand, comedy is Reynolds's bread and butter, so I'm hoping that this one is more Tootsie, less Sorority Boys.

You've said that you prefer Reynolds in big-studio movies as opposed to indies, (and I'd personally like to see him take on Jack Ryan), but what do you think of this new project? It's probably not Oscar bait, but sounds like it could be worth a few laughs.

Scarlett and Ryan Are Gym Rats Together

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson hit the gym together again, this time in West Hollywood on Saturday. The married couple is slowly inching towards being more public with their relationship including her cameo when he was hosting SNL. Scarlett's most recent project is her album with Pete Yorn, while Ryan keeps adding new movies to his schedule. He's in talks to star in Motorcade a film that was originally slated to star Tom Cruise.

Ryan and Scarlett Keep the Laughs Coming on SNL

Ryan Reynolds looked hot in his vest and jeans leaving SNL after hosting this Saturday's episode in NYC. He was the host you were most excited to see and his wife Scarlett Johansson ended up popping in for a surprise cameo. The notoriously private couple performed a skit with Fred Armisen, and it was especially sweet when Ryan called her "incredible" and the two shared a high five at the end of the show - video after the jump. Scarlett came out to support her husband of one year but she wasn't the only unexpected guest - Elijah Wood was in the digital short while Madonna and Lady Gaga got into an awkward play-fight during another sketch.

Ryan Reynolds is scheduled to host Saturday Night Live this weekend, and he just released a promo video to get us excited. You guys weren't too thrilled about Megan Fox's turn last week, though it was interesting to see Brian Austin Green make a cameo. Bringing out a significant other is apparently all the rage for SNL hosts these days, especially after JT and Jessica Biel's guest spot last year. Ryan and Scarlett do seem to be getting more comfortable stepping out together, so we're wondering - do you think Scarlett will make a cameo?

This week Ryan jetted off to Vancouver for a super quick visit before returning to Manhattan where he's busy rehearsing for his gig this Saturday hosting Saturday Night Live. Ryan and Scarlett are still within a week of their one-year anniversary so while the technical newlyweds status might be done, she's still got some gushing to do and it's sweet to see them together.
