Nov 16 2009 - 12:02pm Ever since she was Princess Buttercup, Robin Wright Penn has been known for her enviable caramel blond hair. Yesterday, though, she arrived at a screening of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee with dramatic espresso hair and a much sexier look (she's also aging fantastically, don't you think?). I love both shades and I admire her willingness to go for a big change, but which color do you think suits the Princess Bride better?

BLONDE The brunette color is too harsh
1I voted blonde. The brown seems too ashy and washes her out. Maybe she could have gone a warmer brown?

I agree with Mamasitamalita -- that brunette is the wrong shade. With the right shade (like warmer per her natural roots), she would look much better.
14Oh wow. I tend to vote brunette on these, she is one of the few people I think looks better as a blonde. She looks completely washed out...
15The blonde makes her look younger, and I agree that darker would work on her if it was the right shade. While this color makes her blue eyes pop it turns her skin a very bad color.

17God, Robin Wright Penn is so impressively pretty. I voted blonde. I definitely agree that she needs a warmer brown. She could make this shade work but only if she wears a lot more makeup. She's more made-up in the blonde picture anyway, so it's hard to say.
