Movie Preview: Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince of Persia
I've been waiting on a trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for what feels like forever (more specifically, ever since those first photos of Jake all buff and shirtless).
The preview starts off strong, immediately taking us on an adventure quest that doesn't make any attempt to hide its video game origins. The effects are amazing, though I couldn't help snickering the first time Gyllenhaal speaks in a British accent.
Jake Gyllenhaal to Become the Prince of Persia for Disney
According to Hollywood Reporter, Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton will star together in a film adaptation of the Prince of Persia video game for Disney. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Mike Newell (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Mona Lisa Smile, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will be a "fantasy adventure" in which "Gyllenhaal will play Dastan, a young prince in sixth century Persia who must join forces with Tamina (Arterton), a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent a villainous nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world."

The Tate Hosts Reese, Ava and Deacon's Day Out
As we've seen over the past few days, the lovely Reese Witherspoon is staying with Jake Gyllenhaal in London at the moment while he works on Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time. Yesterday she braved the rain in her trainers for a trip to the gym, changed into some more optimistic footwear as she took a walk to the local shops for a little retail therapy, and then headed out for an educational trip to the Tate Modern with her mini-me daughter Ava and gorgeous son Deacon. It's an amazing gallery and I'm sure they all had an awesome time on the South Bank (perhaps they checked out the Hermes H Box?) – I bet Reese's feet got a little wet in the showers that hit us yesterday!
Reese Is Still Right Behind Her Prince of Persia in London
Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are still in London, including a dinner out last night at Scott's. The duo was joined by Jake's Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time producer Jerry Bruckheimer, though they left the restaurant separately trying to escape the paparazzi. Jake was still showing off that long hair for the movie — though these pics aren't quite as fun as seeing him prance around on a horse prepping for the role.
