When ER began 15 years ago, Noah Wyle's John Carter was just a baby-faced intern trying to handle the fast pace and tough cases of County General's ER. Tonight, Carter is back, with years of experience and a mysterious reason for returning to the hospital that made him a man.
The episode is titled "The Beginning of the End," and that's certainly the truth: The show is entering its final batch of episodes on the way to the big finale in March.

Celebrity fans come and go from the Lakers games, but David Beckham has become a permanent fixture at the Staples center. Last night Becks's favorite team continued their undefeated streak, beating the Houston Rockets at a home game filled with a star-studded audience once again. Brooklyn accompanied his father courtside as the two shared laughs and a candy apple.

George Clooney has been shooting down rumors of a return to ER for a few months now, but now he has former costar Noah Wyle to thank for bringing them up again.
In next week's issue of TV Guide, Wyle tells columnist Will Keck that "From what I heard, George said, 'absolutely,' schedule permitting," about returning to the show. That's totally opposite from everything we've heard from Clooney's camp till now, though the producers have said they hoped he would return.

ER has already aired its 300th episode and outlived virtually all the other series that premiered in 1994. Now, it appears that the stalwart Thursday night medical drama is likely to return for a 15th season in the Fall.
The producers seem pretty confident that they'll cut things off after No.

Noah Wyle and his son, Owen, were enjoying the fabulous beaches of Malibu earlier this week like a lot of other celebs. We loved Noah on ER but it seems he has been MIA since then. He probably still makes a pretty penny from the show being in syndication but we'd like to see him in action again.

Arrrrrrhh ya feeling geeky? If you're a Cult of Mac-er you'll be pleased to learn you can now watch “Pirates of Silicon Valley,” the 1999 made for TV 1999 movie about the beginning of the beef between Apple founder Steve Jobs and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, for free on Google video.
I can't guarantee a single pirate joke during the movie (perhaps that's why I had to insert the one above), but I can guarantee you'll wish you had a bottle of Rum when it's through to celebrate all things geeky and campy.

Noah Wyle done with ER
I'm surprised he stayed around this long, but now Dr John Carter is finally ending his run with ER. The Dr is the only original cast member since the show began 11 years ago. Recently ER was renewed, but John will leave this May with a few cameo appearances in the years to come.
