Fergie's "Be Italian" From Nine — Nailed It or Not Impressed?
Rob Marshall's long anticipated movie musical Nine won't hit theaters until December, and I'm practically counting the minutes until I can see all the talented ladies (Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, the list goes on) singing and dancing with Daniel-Day Lewis. The songs are showstoppers for sure, and now you can have a taste of the upcoming soundtrack. Give a listen to Fergie singing "Be Italian," one of the show's biggest numbers, and tell me what you think — nailed it or not impressed?

Vogue Gets a Dose of Nine's Gorgeous Gals
Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, and Marion Cotillard grace the cover of Vogue's November issue in various shades of red to promote their highly anticipated Nine movie. We saw them at the Annie Leibovitz shoot back in February, and the final product looks beautiful. Inside the magazine all of the film's actresses, including Sophia Loren, Judi Dench, and Fergie, posed together.

Nine — See It or Skip It?
Back in October last year we saw Judi Dench out for dinner in London with Marion Cotillard, Kate Hudson, Sophia Loren and Fergie just before they began shooting new movie Nine. Also starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz and Nicole Kidman, this musical from Chicago director Rob Marshall looks set to be a smash hit when it's released in the UK in November. Wow! The first trailer for Nine, a movie-musical by the director who brought us Chicago, is a feast for the eyes and the ears.
Penelope, Nicole and Daniel Are One Third of Nine
Nicole Kidman and Daniel Day-Lewis were joined on the Rome set of Nine yesterday by a fresh from London Penelope Cruz. Daniel and Nicole tried to stay warm as they filmed late into the night, though Penelope was slightly luckier to be working in the still chilly-looking afternoon. It's just the latest stop on the globe for jetsetting Penelope, though she shouldn't be expected to stay in Italy too long since the Oscars luncheon is happening on Monday in LA.
Flashbulbs Are All in a Day's Work For Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman joined Daniel Day-Lewis on the Rome set of Nine yesterday. He's been hard at work on the movie for a few months, but this is the first time we're seeing Nicole in character for the musical. The duo were at the famous Cinecita studios to film a scene in which they had to flee the waiting paparazzi — a scenario Nicole is pretty familiar with.
Chilly Kate And Fergie Finish Up Filming
Kate Hudson and Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie were spotted outside the Maddox club in London this weekend, as they celebrated wrapping up filming of their new movie Nine. It was October when we saw Kate, Fergie, Judi Dench, Marion Cotillard and Sophia Loren out for dinner to celebrate the start of shooting, and now the movie's wrapped up in time for the festive season to really kick into gear. The film has a tentative release date in the US of December 2009, which means we probably won't see the finished musical in the UK until 2010, but with that stellar cast, I think it will be worth the wait!
So Far, It Takes Two to Make Nine
The cast of Nine have been spotted around London between rehearsals for their musical movie, but we're finally getting our first peek at the cast in character. Penelope Cruz and Daniel Day-Lewis got to work yesterday in the UK, sharing a hug and showing off their period costumes. Of course, the real fun will be when we get to see some singing and dancing, but for now we're happy to get a taste of what we can expect from the star-studded film.
