The 6-year-old who was hiding in an attic while everyone thought he was carried away in an experimental balloon implies it was a stunt and throws up on live TV, Michael Lohan goes on Maury Povich to reach out to Lindsay, and Kris Allen covers a Britney Spears song!

It's a big weekend at the box office, and it seems like there's an option to fit every taste. There's action of Law Abiding Citizen, while The Stepfather offers a scare. New York, I Love You is star-studded but a little disjointed, and Where the Wild Things Are brings the children's classic to the screen memorably.

As a city with so much personality and penchant for possibility, it's no surprise that the follow-up to Paris, Je t'aime heads to New York. New York, I Love You is a tale of the connections and personal missteps that occur every single day in the city that never sleeps. It plays out like a movie version of a song mash-up: some story lines are linear and independent of the rest while other characters wander in and out of each other's lives.

New York, I Love You, which is one of BuzzSugar's Fall Romantic Movie Picks, looks atmospheric and lovely, and boasts a great cast, including Ethan Hawke, Scarlett Johansson, Shia LaBeouf, and Orlando Bloom. In this scene, Emilie Ohana peers out of her open window. I used to love to sit in my windowsill like this, when I lived in a walk-up apartment.

Following the fascinating fictional snapshots of Parisian romances shown in Paris, Je T'aime, comes a follow up movie called New York, I Love You. A number of directors, including Brett Ratner and Natalie Portman, and actors, such as Shia LaBeouf, Blake Lively, Rachel Bilson, Ethan Hawke, John Hurt, Orlando Bloom and many more, have been involved in a series of shorts that are woven together to create a snapshot of romance in New York city. The movie's out in the UK towards the end of the year, but check out the trailer now and let me know — will you see it, or skip it?

It happened to Beth Cooper and, um, "Man," and next year it'll happen to Phillip Morris, but today the latest profession of love in a movie title is for New York. The collection of vignettes in New York, I Love You is a New York-set version of Paris, je t'aime. It's a kind of love letter, using various stories about love itself, to the city that never sleeps.

Natalie Portman unveiled her short film directorial debut Eve at the Venice Film Festival yesterday. The 17 minute short marks the first of two projects she has directed, including part of the collaborative movie New York, I Love You. When I met her back in February I was struck by her intelligence, and she looked stunning over the weekend when she picked up a humanitarian award, as well as working both casual and formal styles in Venice yesterday.
