After the Oscars were all the afterparties, and while Vanity Fair and Elton John may have drawn the most star-studded crowds, there seemed to be a celebrity attendee at all of them. Hilary Duff swung by Leeza Gibbons's 1st Annual Night to Make a Difference where she was joined by Paris Hilton and Jessica Biel, who was out of her worst-dressed contending gown and into something more bright. Elsewhere in town Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth walked the red carpet at a party benefiting Children Uniting Nations.

Emily Blunt laughed and joked over coffee with her agent in LA a couple of days ago looking fab and slightly kooky in her sparkly tights. British actress Emily and her ex Michael Bublé split up in July, having dated since 2005 when she met him backstage at one of his concerts. He's been speaking out about his ex-girlfriend, saying that he will always love her and that they're still friends.

One of my favourite singers, Feist, picked up five awards at the Juno Music Awards in Canada this weekend. She wrote her acceptance speech on her arm, and it turned out she had a lot of chances to say thank you – her catchy single "1234" won best song, and she also picked up gongs in the Album, Artist, Songwriter and Pop Album categories.
Meanwhile Emily Blunt's other half Michael Bublé picked up the fan choice award, and Avril Lavigne also showed up to perform at the event.

We're onto the international categories now in our series of polls for this year's Brit Awards. There's quite a range of musical genres represented, which is great to see. I'm rooting for Kanye, but I saw Timbaland live at Justin's Futuresex/Loveshow last summer and he was amazing.

Country night is often a cringe-worthy evening on American Idol, but this year, the top 11 did a pretty decent job turning songs from the Grand Ole Opry artists into relatively contemporary songs. There were several strong performances and not too many trainwrecks — though there's also at least one performance that will definitely be a love-it-or-hate-it number.
So, which singer do you think is going home tonight?
