Team Darlton (Lost producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse) have confirmed that Claire (Emilie de Ravin) will, in fact, be back as a full-time series regular for the show's sixth and final season. Cuse stated mysteriously, "Damon and I are very excited to bring Claire back to the show, and even more excited for people to experience just how she will return." How?!

Now that the fifth season of Lost is officially over and we're coming down from the excitement of this week's finale, I've been thinking about how this season's final scene (code-named "The Fork in the Outlet") stacks up against the four that came before it. There's an especially crazy/intense/surprising final scene each season, and each of these final scenes has a specific code name. Which season do you think has had the best?

I don't know about you, but I fell asleep with the images from the Lost season finale swirling in my head and woke up thinking about it, and my dreams were probably all Lost, all the time, too. I'm still confused — but almost in a good way — and feeling pretty satisfied. As far as season finales go, I think this one is pretty kickass.

Holy smoke monster, Lost fans, tonight is the fifth season finale! Can you believe it? I don't think the finality of it all has sunk in quite yet and I'm not sure I want it to.

It sort of feels like we shared this episode of Lost with other projects that needed some promotin', though I actually thought it was cool when the black behind the opening Lost logo turns into stars, which turns into a Star Trek promo. And . .

We've already seen some cast members enjoying their awesomely intricate cake (including a Dharma beer can-shaped cake piece) in celebration of Lost's 100th episode, and tonight we can actually watch the episode itself. The intriguing TV previews I've seen make it look like they're marking the occasion of a 100th episode with an intense show (but then again, Lost previews always look intense). Tonight, in "The Variable," Daniel Faraday comes clean about all he knows about the island.

Five shows in their fifth seasons have celebrated the shooting of their 100th episodes — and all with some kind of awesomely huge (or, in the case of Lost, intricately detailed!) cake. Check out my slideshow of pictures from 100th episode celebrations for Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, House, Lost and The Office. They all look so delicious!
