Leighton Meester's "Somebody to Love" Video - Silly or Steamy?

Leighton Meester is apparently focusing hard on her singing career with special performances and new singles. You guys are already loving her song "Somebody to Love," and she just released a video that shows her scantily-clad and hitting clubs and hotel rooms with costar Robin Thicke. Leighton and Olivia Step Out Confidently For Gossip Girl Style

Leighton Meester posed in a punchy dress with her former costar Nicole Fiscella and Olivia Palermo in NYC last night at the launch party for You Know You Want It: Style-Inspiration-Confidence, a book written by Gossip Girl's costume designer Eric Daman. Leighton supported the man who puts her in so many fabulous clothes, which she was once again showing off on the set yesterday with Ed Westwick and a surprising reappearing costar. She, Olivia, and Nicole all looked fantastic on the red carpet and inside the party, so maybe they learned a thing or two from the book they were out to help promote. We caught up with Eric earlier this week at the ACE Awards, where he shared a little about dressing the show's stars:

On who's most enthusiastic about their wardrobes: "Everyone goes with the flow. Blake has a little more opinions on it, because she's very body-conscious and knows what looks great on her. She's been in front of the cameras long enough to be able to say, 'This would be better if it was a half inch shorter' - which is great. It's a dream as a costume designer to have someone, who's like, 'Lets do this!'"
On dressing the guys: "The guys are pretty into it. The guys just want to look good when it comes down to it, which is pretty easy. Chuck/Ed is really into it - he really likes to look amazing and he has been one of my favorites from day one. To be able to play with menswear in the way that we do and pioneer that men get to dress better, and that it's OK to wear a bow tie and a pink shirt and not be too gay about it."

Chuck and Blair Get a Visit From an Unlikely Familiar Face

Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester were decked out in chic Winter wear on the NYC set of Gossip Girl yesterday. Joining them was a familiar but unexpected face - if you're curious, check out who it is after the jump. At the moment, the show has its hands full with a bigger controversy - The Parents Television Council is up in arms about next week's threesome episode, which will apparently extend into the week after too. The show is all about pushing the boundaries, but we'll have to wait and see whether this scene lives up to the hype, assuming it makes it on the air at all.

Three's a Controversial Crowd on Gossip Girl!

Here's some Friday manjoyment for you - those Gossip Girl guys were spotted filming alongside their musically talented costar Leighton Meester this week. Ed Westwick looked rather handsome in his brown leather jacket as he picked up something to eat, while in a different part of New York Chace Crawford was happy to have a couple of photos taken as he walked down the street. The show is currently causing some controversy due to an upcoming threesome storyline which the Parents' Television Council has said is not appropriate for the teenage audience - most fans are just wondering who's going to be involved in the plot! Leighton Meester Gives Her Vocal Chords a Night Off

Leighton Meester and boyfriend Sebastian Stan were side by side as they arrived together at a benefit for the NYC Public Library last night. The duo doesn't appear in public together often, but we've see a great deal of them both this season on Gossip Girl. Sebastian's character Carter is off the series for now, so he wasn't on last night's WTF moment-filled episode, though it did feature the usual tech, fashion, and beauty fun. Leighton has been busy off screen focusing on her music, including her weekend fun onstage with Weezer, and we'll soon get to see the video for her crowd-pleasing first single when it comes out next week.

Spotted: Leighton Meester Belts Out a Tune with Weezer!

Leighton Meester was glowing in her silky dress at the Library Lions benefit in New York last night, rocking smoky eyes and wavy hair. The Gossip Girl teamed up with Cobra Starship for the single "Good Girls Go Bad", has an album on the way, and on Halloween night Leighton made a surprise appearance on stage with Weezer in Manhattan! She looked very un-Blair Waldorf as she sang the bands latest single with frontman Rivers Cuomo in a black top and multicoloured trousers, and looks like she's pretty comfortable up on the stage. Rivers said:

"We invited her down, and she was in rehearsal - wait, did she even come to rehearsal? No, she didn't! We just worked on it in the dressing room right before the show. 'You sing this line, now I'll sing that line,' just like that. It's best when there's a little rehearsal, so that it can still feel spontaneous."
