Emily Blunt joined Matt Damon Monday for a long afternoon on the NYC set of The Adjustment Bureau. After working on a few scenes, they took a quick lunch break before heading home afterward in the dark. Emily had another late night yesterday, when she joined fiance John Krasinski for a premiere of The Red Shoes.

The Metropolitan Opera's 125th Anniversary Gala took place last night in New York and the black carpet was packed with well dressed ladies. The event was sponsored by Yves Saint Laurent and creative director Stefano Pilati attended with ad campaign star Claudia Schiffer. Naturally everyone seemed to wear YSL from Claire Danes, to Mary Kate Olsen, via Diane Kruger, Ginnifer Goodwin and Emily Mortimer.

Besides mermaid dresses on the BAFTA Award's red carpet there were also plenty of ruffles and tiers. In my opinion, Freida stole the show in a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta gown which complemented her complexion. Emily Mortimer also went for tiers in a bow adorned Yves Saint Laurent dress and red carpet host Alesha Dixon wore a black Giovanni ruffled frock with elegant evening gloves and sleek straight hair.

Last night I made my way to Covent Garden for the 2009 BAFTA Awards held at the Royal Opera House, and watched from the red carpet as all the stars made their way inside to enjoy the ceremony. There was a fab mix of Hollywood A listers and burgeoning Brit talent out in the typically British rain, but luckily much of the red carpet was undercover, and brollies were being handed out to everyone as they arrived. Penelope Cruz rushed up the thick red carpet as fast as she could, but most of the other invited ladies like Meryl Streep and Amy Adams wandered leisurely.

Emily Mortimer's Yves Saint Laurent dress may well have matched the London sky, but the bow and animal skin detailing added glamour to the look. She increased the glitz with jewels by Van Cleef & Arpels and a chic clutch. What do you think of her red carpet style?

The 2009 Spring fashion season came to a close in Paris last night after a whirlwind month of shows in New York, London, and Milan. Lots of stars were out to celebrate, with Emma Watson, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell taking in YSL and Chanel while Dita von Teese and Lenny Kravitz checked out Marc Jacobs's newest work at Louis Vuitton. After shopping around the city, Kate Bosworth brought her man James Rousseau to the Miu Miu show last night along with Kirsten Dunst, who is a former face of the brand.

In select cities, a little indie thriller titled Transsiberian quietly opened over the weekend and did fairly well in the indie market (despite the long shadow cast by The Dark Knight's opening), which frankly surprises me. With some folks calling the movie "Hitchcockian" in its suspense, and featuring a cast that includes the enigmatic Emily Mortimer and a shape-shifting Ben Kingsley, I was interested in seeing it myself. But now I kinda wish I hadn't.

With a theme like "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" we knew to expect something amazing, and the A-listers in attendance did not disappoint. Our girl Pop US has the lowdown on all the stars and Fab US and Bella US have loads of polls, while here on Pop UK we're focusing on the British celebs who did us proud, from fashionistas Kate Moss and Stella McCartney to lovebirds Victoria and David Beckham.
