Love It or Hate It? Flavor Paper Sharp Descent Wallpaper

New Orleans-based wallpaper company Flavor Paper is giving its collection a bit of an edge with its new Sharp Descent ($150) paper. The design is an I Spy-esque arrangement of blunt, deadly objects - nearly everything you can't bring on an airplane. While the wallpaper would be perfect for Dexter's apartment, I can't say I'd hang it in my own home. What about you? Would your sense of humor allow this? Could you find a place for it in your home?

On my favorite TV shows, couples are constantly being torn apart or thrust into romantic despair. I want so much for them to find someone who's a perfect complement, and today it struck me that I may know how to make them happy. Maybe the reason our favorite singletons haven't found the right partner yet is that they're on the wrong show. I'm trying my hand at playing cupid, so check out who I'd match up if TV characters could cross over into other series and networks.

Actors Are Crowned Winners at SAG Awards Show

After the stars walked the red carpet they took their seats for the show to find out who won what at the SAG Awards in LA on Saturday. George Clooney was on presenting duty after hosting the Haiti telethon on Friday night, and several members of the cast of Nine including Marion Cotillard, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz also took to the stage. Sandra Bullock won the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Lead Role accolade and also presented Betty White with a Lifetime Achievement award, while Gabourey Sidibe congratulated her Precious costar Mo'Nique on her Supporting Actress win. The three other film awards went to Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Lead Role Jeff Bridges, Supporting Actor Christoph Waltz and Cast of a Motion Picture Inglourious Basterds.

Stars of the small screen were also honoured at the ceremony, with Michael C. Hall and Julianna Margulies winning the acting gongs in the Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series categories. Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey both won the the Comedy Series acting categories for their performances in 30 Rock, while the Drama Ensemble award went to the Mad Men cast and the Comedy Ensemble gong was picked up by the Glee gang and kissed by Lea Michele. Kevin Bacon and Drew Barrymore were awarded for their acting in the Television Movie or Miniseries categories, while 24 and Star Trek got gongs for their stunts. The SAGs Are Full of Glee, Basterds, Betty White and More!

The SAG Awards took over LA's Shine Auditorium Saturday night to honor the year's best acting. Once the posing on the red carpet was finished, the show started right off with the announcement of Alec Baldwin's win in the category of Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series. His costar Tina Fey also took home an Actor statue for her role in 30 Rock, bounding onto the stage with energy despite having had just two hours sleep the evening before. Matt Damon and his wife Luciana watched things for their table, not far from where George Clooney was relaxing after his star-studded Haiti telethon. Further honors went to Dexter's Michael C. Hall, who kept things light by thanking his wife and costar Jennifer Carpenter for choosing to wear her hot white dress. Julianna Margulies was singled out by her peers for her performance on The Good Wife, looking stunning in her Narciso Rodriguez gown. Betty White was the evening's special honoree, as she was presented a Lifetime Achievement award by one of her many admirers, Sandra Bullock.

Glee, meanwhile, was crowned Best Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Series with Jane Lynch speaking on behalf of the cast - Cory Monteith later joked that she had the honor of talking after winning an arm-wrestling contest. The stars of Mad Men similarly took home Actor statues after being declared the Best Ensemble in a Drama Series. The honorees for miniseries and films were exactly the same as at last weekend's Golden Globes - Drew Barrymore and an emotional Kevin Bacon won. Jeff Bridges picked up an honor for Crazy Heart, as did Christoph Waltz for Inglourious Basterds and Mo'Nique for Precious. Sandra Bullock won again for The Blind Side, thanking her husband Jesse James by saying, "I want you so much!" While Inglourious Basterds broke the trend by getting the Ensemble honors, it will be interesting to see if the consistency in individual awards translates into Oscar nominations when they're announced on February 2.

Michael C. Hall Celebrates His SAG Win in the Press Room

Michael C. Hall headed straight into the press room following his win for Best Actor at tonight's SAG Awards for his role in Dexter. It's been a good week for Michael after also taking home a prize at last Sunday's Golden Globes, and he answered a few questions about where he's storing his new statues and going public with his cancer fight. He said:

On the aftermath of announcing he has cancer: "A lot of people have reached out to me that I wouldn't have heard from otherwise. . . high school teachers, friends from college. I've actually spent a lot of this week responding to concerned, but ultimately encouraging e-mails."
On expecting Dexter's success: "I knew that our task was to try to sympathize a serial killer, that was a unique goal. I thought the show could develop some sort of cult following, but I didn't anticipate that following would be so broad, and it would attract as many fans as it had. . . I certainly didn't see bobble-heads or video games or any of that stuff."
On where he's storing his newly-won awards: "I put it in a little passageway between the bathroom and the guest bedroom, where we have such things. So I'll probably put this there."

Michael C. Hall Is Happy, Honest, and Humble in Golden Globes Press Room

Michael C. Hall finally won the award for Best Actor in a TV Drama at tonight's Golden Globes in LA. Michael recently revealed that he is going through treatment for cancer, and we weren't sure whether he would attend tonight's ceremony. It was so great to see him out with his wife Jennifer Carpenter, and after John Lithgow won for his stint on Dexter, MCH had his moment as well. His acceptance speech brought tears to our eyes, and back in the press room he was full of personality. He says he's just as excited as all the viewers to see what happens next with the show. Here's some other highlights from the press room:

What made this season special: "Well John certainly turned the knob up to 11. He's such a phenomenal talent and has such an energy about him that affects everyone from the crew to the producers."
On his current battle with cancer: "Well, it's a personal matter and to be completely frank, I had every intention of keeping it quiet. Because the award shows were imminent, I figured I would make a statement. It was also nice to make a statement at the point in my treatment that I did, where I was able to assure people that I am really on the road to recovery. And it's nice to have a justifiable excuse for accessorizing."
On enjoying the night's excitement: "I like to think that I have a pretty good head on my shoulders and that I don't get too swept up, but I've never been less susceptible to getting swept up in a night like this considering the more down in the trenches kind of stuff I've been considering with the treatment. But, it's really been nice. It's really nice to see colleagues who know about it. Just to check in with them is really gratifying for me. I've very honored."

You guys have gotten to weigh in on your favorites in TV for 2009, and now it's my turn: this year was a revelation for small screen comedies and dramas, and I was watching it all, crying and guffawing at some blockbuster episodes. Not everything made my shortlist of favorites for the year - the ones that did, though, were the series I couldn't turn off and can't wait to see more from in 2010.

Network television certainly doesn't have the market cornered on great TV shows anymore. In fact, many of prime time's most acclaimed dramas are found outside of your standard channels. Though the seasons may be shorter, it just makes them even sweeter. So which cable TV drama is your favorite?
