I wonder if Cheech Marin caught a trailer of Pineapple Express, which prompted him to announce that he thinks "dope humor" is just as relevant today as it was in the 1970s — if not more so. "I think it's time for a revival of dope jokes," he recently said in an interview. "It's a much bigger audience now, it's much more widespread and institutionalized."

We've discussed some of the big trailers that premiered over the weekend, and now I would like to point your attention to another little summer movie preview hitting the Web.
I think there are several ways to approach the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua (previously known as South of the Border): with excitement (singing dogs!), dread (what the heck is going on in Hollywood?), or wonderment at the jaw-droppingly ridiculous fact that this thing is happening. I've chosen the last approach because this thing is just so funny to me.

Well, last week's episode of "Lost" left much to be desired, but after a bewildering guest appearance by Bai Ling, this week promises a more fun choice: Cheech Marin is playing Hurley's dad in a flashback!
Called "Tricia Tanaka is Dead," tonight's episode features Hurley's flashbacks while in "real time" he discovers a wrecked car on the island, leading him on a mission of hope. Sawyer and Kate reunite with the other original island folk, but Kate is still determined to help Jack.

For Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick, the action at the Knicks-Lakers game was in the audience as they publicly kissed in NYC last night. Ed had a steamy plotline on Gossip Girl, but in real life things aren't so mysterious anymore. We heard rumors about these two back in December and saw them out with Chace last Thursday, but these photos of them cuddling up, laughing, and drinking beer confirm it.

As Hurley might say, "Dude, come on!" Last night's "Lost" was not entirely ... anything!

Last night in Pasadena stars came out to grace the red carpet and stage at the 2008 Alma Awards. Once again, Eva Longoria played host for the night and showed off a few costume changes like she did at last year's awards. Jessica Alba didn't have Cash with her to gaze lovingly like Eva and Tony, but she lit up the red carpet all the same continuing her smiley weekend.
