Chace Leads the Fearless Men at This Year's Cosmo Awards

Cosmopolitan magazine gathered a few Hollywood hotties together last night in LA for their 2009 Fun Fearless Awards. Chace Crawford took a night off from the Upper East Side to party with fellow honorees like Aaron Eckhart and Bradley Cooper. While 2008's group featured a who's who of Jessica Simpson's flames, this year's crop had one - Adam Levine. Ali Larter, meanwhile, was on hand to pick up the award for the year's Fearless Female. She spent the night mingling with all the award-winning guys, proving she's comfortable being the lone woman in a sea of sexy gentlemen.

Beyonce, Jennifer, Halle and More Shine at NAACP Awards

The 2009 NAACP Image Awards came to LA's Shrine Auditorium with cohosts Halle Berry and Tyler Perry leading the way. Everyone looked fantastic hitting the red carpet and mingling with old friends during the show - check out all of Fab's love it or hate it polls here. Dakota Fanning chose yet another strapless number but still looked perfectly pretty. Al Gore found his way into a conversation with Will Smith who had his wife for a date. Jennifer Hudson took home the Best New Artist award and said, "Now don't start me to crying again, y'all. It's always an honor to come home and feel welcome and to feel the love."

Rihanna was up for Female Performer of the year, but it was Beyonce who took the prize and also performed at the event. Diddy took home the award for TV Movie Actor while Will Smith and Rosario Dawson both won for Seven Pounds. Best picture went to The Secret Life of Bees - check out all the winners here. Seal performed with the choir, though it was Stevie Wonder who stole the show at his piano and Muhammad Ali who took the stage in a powerful moment.

ABC All Stars Pose Hands-on-Hips and Party the Night Away

After spending a long day sitting on panels and fielding questions at the TCAs, the ABC and Disney stars got dressed up and hit the red carpet last night. Despite moving filming to NYC, the Ugly Betty beauties like Becki Newton (get her look here) were representing, even with no America Ferrera. Mixing our medical shows, Kate Walsh hung all over Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence celebrating life back on ABC. Nick Lachey didn't have Vanessa on his arm but looked handsome out promoting his High School Musical reality show. TCAs Get Private, Dirty, Desperate and a Little Bit Grey

Some of the big names at ABC hit the stage at the TCAs in LA this afternoon. Even though there was no specific Grey's Anatomy panel, the show was still the first thing on everyone's mind when Shonda Rhimes entered the room - check out all of that on Buzz. Sigh, love Peter Krause. As for Desperate Housewives, Eva's haircut is adorable in person, she got it since she was told to get a "mom" cut and didn't want to wear a wig, and we should expect to see her looking glamorous again by mid season. Mark Cherry also jokingly admitted how the 5 year flash forward got out, "I made the mistake of telling one of my actors, and the next thing I read it in the Times, going, 'Damn it, Marcia.'" Celebrities Play Heroes For a Day in Sunny LA

It was a beautiful Sunday in LA where lots of familiar faces came out for the A Time For Heroes Celebrity Carnival to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Among the all-stars out for the great event were adorable (and tiny!) new parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden along with Courteney Cox and ever-quirky David Arquette. Mischa looked every bit the flower child in her butterfly wings while all the ladies (and ugh Heidi and Spencer) of The Hills happily posed for the cameras. I have to say though, little Coco totally stole the show. Looking at all the smiles, the sun wasn't the only thing shining on all the stars out to support the wonderful cause.

Pop Watch: Dirty Sexy Money, Ep 10 "The Nutcracker"

Last night's episode of Dirty Sexy Money was also the season finale – the reason for the incredibly short season is the writers' strike, but the show will be back on US TV in the autumn. A whole load of things happened in the final episode so lets get started!

So Jeremy was still keeping up the "I'm a tortured artist" thing with Sofia, and Lisa was getting deeper into the whole Darling family net by helping him out. I guess those puppy dog eyes will convince almost anyone to do anything...
On a trivia note: Did you know Seth Gabel, who plays Jeremy, is married to actress Bryce Dallas Howard? They have a son named Theodore.
Carmelita was feeling antsy, thinking she was being followed and that someone had been in her apartment. Which caused Clark to place a video camera in a plant in her apartment and keep up some surveillance. Is there anything Clark can't do?

Simon told Nick that he was with Karen, and Nick's reaction added fuel to my thoughts that he still has feelings for her. There's a lot going on behind those eyes of his.
You know you must be ridiculously rich when you have an annual Nutcracker evening like the Darlings. How amazing was that?
Brian’s un-churchlike activities finally caught up with him career-wise and he was suspended for six months... “What’s next? Leprosy?” That made me giggle.

Nick was still being honest with Tripp and sorted out the documents that Simon was requesting. Is Simon still testing Nick? And who was Tripp talking to on the phone?
We got a little more Juliet this episode, who apparently took Karen’s honeymoon. And flew over a guy from the Seychelles who she's decided will be her first.
I loved all the scenes with Lisa and Jeremy this episode, especially the one relating to the big sponge – “What do you clean with it? Big art?” I'm with Jeremy on the whole not entirely understanding modern art thing...
Simon took Karen to meet his ex-wife – a Princess from Ghana. Wow, uncomfortable... Is Simon testing Karen too? Perhaps he's on to her...
Meanwhile Jeremy and Lisa got stoned in the gallery – Lisa advocated telling the truth to Sofia and confessed she's losing Nick. She finally let it all out. Poor Lisa. In a moment of stoned sensitivity/madness Jeremy kissed Lisa, and I loved how it was completely underplayed. It might pop up next season though?
I kind of second Kiki's sentiment when she saw the house all decked out for The Nutcracker: “I have to marry into this family.” But then... they're also insane.
The big sponge ended up reeking of the pot Jeremy and Lisa smoked, so it didn’t sell. Oh, and Lisa got fired. No worries though, Nick suggested Lisa could have another baby!
My favourite line: “They managed to allude the ficus” – Clark after Carmelita went missing from her apartment.
How strange was it to see Brian in a suit?
Jeremy told Sofia the truth, and his excuse for lying was that he's "suffered too much at the hands of these love pirates.” Love pirates. Genius. Sadly, Sofia was not impressed, and left him.
Simon agreed to let Karen go, after Nick gets angry at him. But the final reveal was that Karen is working with Tripp to get info about Simon Elder! She's been scheming it up real nice – first with her Mum about getting Nick, and now with Tripp about getting into Simon's affairs. Interesting...

Pop Watch: Dirty Sexy Money, Ep 7 "The Country House"

It was Thanksgiving on last night's Dirty Sexy Money and Nick was full of hope he'd have the full five day holiday away from the Darlings... Yeah right. I hope the temporary 8pm timeslot didn’t catch you out as it was a fab and fun-packed episode as usual! Here's my thoughts:

Tripp was still seething about Patrick being taken away by Simon Elder, so he asked Nick to arrange a sit-down with them both. And it turned out he has a twist-packed motive.
Karen’s moved on from her almost-marriage. With Giorgio – I loved how Jeremy was impressed that he’s "always there for her" post-divorce.The siblings' high-five made me giggle.
Poor Brian missed Brian Jr, but Karen was full of her own brand of comforting logic, saying "You know how the justice system works: whoever has the most money wins."

Patrick and Ellen's relationship was strained to say the least. Their meeting with Carmelita made me so uncomfortable, as they negotiated terms for time to spend with Pat. What a difficult situation.
Brian needed to just chill out, saying “Beat it you prissy little creep” to the opposing lawyer. Then the whole Gustav story came out. And then he tried to bribe his way to custody. Oh Brian... maybe they should just lock him in a room until it's all over? Just leave it to Nick!

Meanwhile Jeremy got a date with Sofia, using the last name Babeson. I loved Jeremy and Clark’s conversation – J: “Where do people like you go out? You know, poor people. Where do poor people go out?” He also thought Clark's silent movie moustache seemed pretty poverty-related. Clark's response? “Yes that’s right Jeremy, I can’t actually afford a beard.” Ha! I love Clark (aka Daddy Babeson... eek!)
Karen zoned in on Simon at the country house dinner – she’s man obsessed. Could things heat up there do you think? (Well the teaser for next week's episode shouts a resounding YES!) Perhaps it would put a halt to Operation Nick, but it would hurt Tripp to lose two children to Simon.
Simon insisted everything between him and Patrick was business, but Tripp believes it’s personal as Simon’s family have a history with the Darlings. Everything got a little complicated – Simon's parents used to work for the Darlings – now I’m even more intrigued. What is Simon’s agenda?
You just knew something was going to happen with those guns the minute they came out, right? Yes, Patrick was on the receiving end of a bullet after sneaking out to see Carmelita. I can kind of see where Ellen’s coming from. It was well covered up by Nick too, he’s a genius media handler.
Karen and Letitia were still scheming about Nick. It's so bad, but I do love Karen. She makes me laugh. Letitia spilled to Lisa that Karen kissed Nick after her divorce, and Operation Nick got a major boost. Lisa stormed out to her parents’ house. Just another relationship that’s under a lot of strain.
Speaking of Lisa – will she ever get her own storyline? It might make me like her more...
How long do you think it’ll be until Sofia finds out Jeremy’s a Darling? This can’t last too long, can it?
Could Simon have had the motive to kill Nick’s Dad then? He demolished Darling Plaza and a whole lot of Darling history. So sad.

Yeah, a lot of questions to end on, but this series always asks more questions than it answers each week. But not in an occasionally-frustrating Lost way. So what did you think of this week's episode and revelations? As always I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Pop Watch: Dirty Sexy Money, Ep 6 "The Game"

I still can't get over how much they pack into one episode of Dirty Sexy Money, seriously, my head's still spinning from the jam-packed show last night. So, without further ado, here's my thoughts – be sure to leave your own thoughts on the insane Darling family in the comments below!

So the NTSB report came back last night on Nick's father's plane crash. And it was clear. Nothing was tampered with on the plane... so there's nothing for Nick to go on anymore... or is there?
Tripp was off to a Billionaires' conference... but the real draw was the high stakes poker game they all play together. Simon Elder made his debut at the annual game – it was one of the last things Nick's Dad sorted out before he died.
I love Patrick and Carmelita. Maybe it's because I haven't seen much of his wife though? Carmelita was frustrated by the secrecy of their affair, so they have a kiss in the street... but a photographer Tripp had paid took photos out of a taxi window, scaring them. Oh, Tripp, his heart's in the right place, but I'm not sure that was the best idea. Also, how long had that photographer been following them around waiting for the opportunity?!
Tripp went to see Carmelita and confessed. And then offered her lots and lots of money to up and leave. She turned him down. Patrick then went to see his Dad to say he's done with him. Eek.

Yay – more Jeremy this episode! His job search with Nick was so funny – "no" to Darling Hotels because it smells like trouble, nothing on farms because cows scare him, and then they skipped past Darling Pharmaceuticals – too tempting?
Crazy Karen and Freddy went to pick up their wedding licence, she knew the guy behind the counter due to the frequency of her marriages. But unfortunately for the soon-to-be-wedded couple, she’s still married....
Oh, Karen's ex/husband. Wow. Wow. Wow. Thanks for the manjoyment! OK, that is one good looking man in a towel. If Karen can't make a marriage with gorgeous anthropologist Sebastian Fleet (aka best looking guy on TV in a towel ever) then I don't think Freddy's going to go the distance.
So Jeremy ended up as a valet for Darling Parking. I love him. He's like a hyper puppy dog. Of course, on his first day he crashed a sexy woman's car. So he did what anyone would do in that situation – bought her a new one and switched the plates before she came back to collect her car... Genius.

Meanwhile Simon told Nick about the plans he and Dutch had, to make Manhattan more livable – cleaner air, better public transportation – and asked Nick to convince Tripp to put Darling Plaza into the pot at the game. He didn’t entirely explain why though. Nick was rightly suspicious and only agreed to do it when Simon said the NTSB report was a fake and was doctored long before the police got it. He said Nick could have the report if Simon gets Darling Plaza
It was nice to see Brian and Brian Jr beginning a relationship not based on lies!
Worth mentioning: Why didn’t Dutch take Karen and Sebastian's signed divorce papers to be processed? Hmm.
Tripp and Nick’s bluffing at the poker game was superb! Nick had told Tripp everything and they engineered it to give Simon Darling Plaza, without Tripp looking happy about it. Letitia was heartbroken over the sentimental value of the building that they’ve lost – their first home in Manhattan. Did Nick and Tripp fool you? They did me.
Nick’s honesty is a great quality – it’s kept him out of scrapes so far. But what will happen if Simon finds out?
Jeremy confesses what he did to the woman’s car ‘I’m in this phase of my life where I’m seeking consequences…do you want to speak to my boss?’ Jeremy tried to pick up the girl with the wrecked car, without her knowing he’s Jeremy Darling. No success yet... but he's a persistent one.
Tripp told Nick that he will run the Darling company one day. Wow.
And then the twist-filled end – The poker game dealer works for Simon Elder! The NTSB report said that the mechanic Norman Exley was responsible – but he was found dead! And then the final twist – what’s Patrick doing at Simon’s office?! Tripp's really pushed him away this time!

OK, I'm officially exhausted, but I can't wait to hear what you thought about this fast-paced episode! This show is so fun and intriguing! Leave your comments below...

Pop Watch: Dirty Sexy Money, Ep 5 "The Bridge"

So here we are – another weekend, another episode of Dirty Sexy Money. This one included parties, a possible pregnancy and, as always, piles of cash and I really want to hear what you thought about it. First though, here's a few of my thoughts:

Simon Elder is a mysterious guy. Do you think he's telling the truth about Nick's father and his plans? I'm not sure at all, although I enjoy that he's played by Blair Underwood. Love him.
The twins were turning 25(!) but couldn't agree on whether to invite Natalie or not. So they split the party, but not the budget. Jeremy had his on the Brooklyn Bridge (nice) and Juliet had a Marie Antoinette-themed event at home. Which one would you have gone to?
The truth came out in Brian's household, when his bible reading caused Gustav to confess to Brian's wife that he's Brian Jr. Eek.

Juliet looked out for Jeremy when she investigated Natalie's "pregnancy", which was sweet. I love their slightly weird relationship. But, I still can't believe they turned 25 this episode.
Karen blackmailing Patrick with her knowledge about Carmelita showed a different side of her. She can be quite underhanded when she wants to be... and she knows exactly what she's doing.
Natalie eventually confessed that her pregnancy was oh-so-faux, so Jeremy stripped down to his boxers, stood up on the wall over the traffic, and sang "All By Myself". Loved it. My sides were aching.
I'm sorry, but I was totally with Nick on the ant painting.
I enjoyed Nick and Brian's vague heart to heart, especially when Brian apologised to him – "I'm sorry I called you Mr Perfect, you are kind of insufferable though with your happiness."
So all the Darlings are under one roof again. Ohhh this is going to be even more chaos.
I kind of felt for Jeremy when Tripp was lambasting him, although... well... Tripp had a good point. "I wish that I could be someone you loved, Dad, but I can't." Ouch.
But then, he asked Tripp for a job. Could it be Jeremy is growing up? Really? And Nick got back to his original plans to help out some charities. Ahh, a happy ending.

I'm a little frustrated they didn't actually talk about the whole DNA issue. But never mind, there's plenty more to come and plenty more they need to sort out. So what did you think of this episode? I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Pop Watch: Dirty Sexy Money, Ep 4 "The Chiavennasca"

Nick broke out of New York and joined us in Europe (more specifically, Italy) in last night's installment of Dirty Sexy Money. He hopped across the pond to investigate his father's plane crash further, in the guise of picking up some wine for the Darlings. Of course this was nowhere near all that happened, so here are some of my thoughts on the episode:

Tripp and Letitia were dealing with the fall out of her admission to the affair with Dutch, Nick's father. The big question is are all of their children Tripp's? Or does Nick have a half-sister or brother he doesn't know about? Ever-resourceful, Tripp gets the family doctor to look into it.
Nick asks Tripp who the C in his father's diary might be, and Tripp refers him to a private investigator named Harold Templeton, who was a spy in 60s, and is currently in hiding in a vineyard in Italy. So Nick's off to Italy to meet him.
Loved the massive video screen Natalie and Jeremy used to talk to each other. Also loved Jeremy's wide-eyed excitement about going to 'Bar Gnome' and buying a little red hat until Natalie told him it's Bar Known, not gnome. Disappointing. Later on Juliet finally caught Natalie and Jeremy in the act and did not react well. These three make me laugh so much.

And so to more important things, like shoe-shopping: "Aren't those to die for? It's like they're made out of George Clooney..." Lisa bumps into Karen shoe-shopping and they share a love of the same shoes, $1200 shoes no less. Wow.
It made me chuckle that the Darlings' driver Clark is also their private jet pilot. Karen and Freddy completely gatecrashed Lisa and Nick's romantic work trip to Italy. And Karen proceeded to intrude in many ways, barging into their bedroom and joining them on their romantic dinner. I loved watching Nick's subtle reactions to Karen and Lisa as they slyly fought over him. By the time Nick got back from his meeting with the spy guy, the ladies were drunk. Oh so drunk. And Karen then told a shocked Lisa that Nick proposed to her when they were nineteen. Freddy's reaction: "God, you are a bitch sometimes." Karen: "I know, it's a problem." Tres amusant! But - poor Lisa.
Nick meets up with Templeton again, who tells him that Dutch asked him to compile files on both Simon Elder and Tripp Darling and that led the PI to believe he was working for someone else. Interesting. Nick then told Tripp that info, was that wise?
At Brian's house there's still a few teething troubles with 'Gustav' (aka Brian Jr) – he's being bullied by a girl at school. Ever the holy man, Brian encourages him to fight back. Brian Jr showed he'd learned from his Daddy when he blackmailed Brian into sorting out the bully for him – he basically told her that if she doesn't leave 'Gustav' alone she'll burn in hell. Such a good man of God.
So, Natalie's pregnant. That certainly came a little out of the blue to me... could she be using it as a bargaining tool to keep Jeremy as her own?
And right at the end we found out that C is Simon Elder, as he has a C on his licence plate. Dun dun duuuunnnn.
