Katy Perry isn't the only celebrity hopping on the sparkly, encrusted nail bandwagon. Beyonce had similarly wild nails with heart-shaped jewels on them last night at the MTV Europe Awards, and Kristen Bell was sporting iridescent foiled nails recently, too. The stars didn't just have fun with style on the red carpet, they also played with looks throughout the show. The host, Katy Perry, began the evening in a floor sweeping pink gown, but she soon upped the stakes with revealing ensembles. However, she wasn't the only one making a statement, Beyonce, Leona Lewis and Shakira also made their mark. Beyonce, Jay-Z and Katy's Big Night in Berlin For the EMAs!

Stars of the music world hit the red carpet and the stage at tonight's MTV EMAs held in Berlin, Germany. The ladies were decked out in black and cream, with Beyonce and Katy Perry standing out in their long gowns. Bar Refaeli looked gorgeous as usual, but the dress was a bit of a departure from her usual style. The guys were the one with the stand out makeup trend of the night - guyliner - though the Jonas Brothers weren't feeling the need to participate. Inside, Jay-Z performed and looked adorable posing with his wife backstage while Brody Jenner smiled with Miranda Cosgrove. She also stepped out in a sexy red costume and was the biggest winner of the night taking home three awards! Lady Gaga, U2 and Jay-Z were also among the artists who will be packing up their statues for the flight home. Katy Perry had a handful of costume changes, but her man Russell Brand wasn't there to give her a hand with that - check out all the big performances here.

Katy and Co. Give Us an Amazing MTV EMA Show

After the women and men arrived on the red carpet for the MTV EMAs they all took their seats for the ceremony. Green Day kicked off the show and then Katy Perry did an awesome medley of the Best Song nominees. The show was full of great performances, like Beyonce in red suspenders, Jay-Z's amazing NYC backdrop, Foo Fighters rocking out and Shakira showing off her drumming. Pete Wentz observed he was a foot shorter than Bar Refaeli as they presented an award, and Katy interrupted Kanye's nomination clip in a nod back to the VMAs.

Katy made loads of costume changes, from full skirts with holes, cheeky sheer tops and a West Ham kit with Rusty emblazened on it in honour of her beau's Twitter handle and football team. David Hasselhoff, Backstreet Boys, Brody Jenner, Miranda Cosgrove, Jesse Metcalfe and Juliette Lewis presented awards to winners like U2, who performed at Brandenburg Gate with Jay-Z for the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Jonas Brothers presented a fan tribute to Michael Jackson, Tokio Hotel brought flames to the stage and Leona Lewis was surrounded by mist. Check out the full list of winners here and videos here!

Women Go Dark and Pale On MTV EMAs Red Carpet

The women were looking gorgeous as they took to the red carpet at the MTV EMAs this evening. Brits Pixie Lott and Leona Lewis went for black outfits, with Pixie choosing a classic LBD and Leona going for an edgier choice of harem trousers. Lil Kim made a bold statement with her outfit, while Juliette Lewis was classic rock chick in her leather.

At the other end of the spectrum, several women went for a pale palette. Beyonce was floor length and fabulous, while Bar Refaeli and Shakira went for short dresses. Jay-Z Exercises to Fergie, Eats With Beyonce

Jay-Z worked up his appetite yesterday with an appearance to promote the new DJ Hero game, which features a few of his songs, in NYC. He opened up about his favorite tunes at the event, revealing that he loves to exercise to Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry." Jay-Z said, "I really like that song. I would sing it really loud no matter where I was at in the gym, and I know a couple other guys were singing and they won't say it." He was then off to meet up with Beyonce for lunch at Nello's, where they sat and chatted with friends before going on their way. Jay-Z has another big appearance tomorrow - he and Alicia Keys are scheduled to perform at the first game of the World Series.
