Nov 6 2009 - 12:59pm Katy Perry isn't the only celebrity hopping on the sparkly, encrusted nail bandwagon. Beyonce had similarly wild nails with heart-shaped jewels on them last night at the MTV Europe Awards, and Kristen Bell was sporting iridescent foiled nails recently, too. I think this trend is so creative and cool, but what about you?

I guess its kinda cutesy..especially for the holidays..as long as its not total overkill. Katys are way too much for my taste, but they work for her.
1LOL @ this being considered a new trend. Go to most black and Hispanic neighborhoods in any city and you'll learn that this has been going on for at least two decades.
2Lol anonymous. I do have to agree, though, it is very popular with Hispanic women. My grandparents live near a town that is very Puerto Rican and all of the women I see at the grocery store have glitter on their nails, whether it's pink, purple, cobalt blue, gold, it doesn't matter as long as it sparkles.
A subtle silvery glitter would be pretty with a basic black dress for a Christmas party, though.
3I love this. I just bought a chrome set of nail polishes and they're gorgeous and I can't wait to use them.
4Please let us know what kristen bell was wearing! that chrome shade is HOT!
5I love it, and think it's a ton of fun. It definitely helps when you feel a little plain in the winter outerwear. Nothing dresses up my black jackets like some sparkly nails.
6Funny its a "trend" now. My little sis just turned 12 and always has worn metallic silver nail polish.
7I found a great dating site """""""""""Millionairelovelinks.com """"""""""""where you have the opportunity dreaming about dating a millionaire and make it true! we dont have to be a millionaire.but we can meet one. I thought everyone needed to meet some miracle after all the terrible stuff in the news
