Arrested Development: Where Are They Now?

Get ready for the big-screen Bluth family reunion! The Arrested Development movie is finally picking up some steam, with creators Michale Hurwitz and James Vallely working on the movie's script. The only concern? All the principal actors are committed to doing the movie, but since the show invigorated their careers, they've all got a lot of projects lined up, which may make for scheduling conflicts when shooting begins. So what are the original cast members up to that's making them so busy? I'll tell you.

Movie Preview: An Arrested Development Documentary

Until that oft-discussed Arrested Development movie starts to move forward for real, there is at least another fun AD-related movie in the works. A couple of self-proclaimed "Arrested Development superfans" came up with the idea to put together an "Arrested Development Documentary Project" (working title) as a way "to take our passion for the show and couple it with the countrywide fan base to educate others and make them aware of this TV gem." Here's more:

The overall goal of the documentary is to provide awareness and education of this brilliant, witty and original comedy. We are looking to interview viewers, cast, crew and any other industry figures that are fans or critics of the show.

At first I assumed this was just a cute little fan project that might not look all that professional, but after watching a video from it (which I've posted after the jump), I find that I'm completely wrong. This is one movie that will be required watching for anyone who considers himself/herself an AD fan. I can't wait to see it! You can check out the video if you read more.

Adrian, Ed and Evan Celebrate Shane's Birthday

It's Shane West's birthday on June 10, and he had a pre-birthday celebration at Bardot in LA at the weekend to party with all his famous friends. On his arm was Evan Rachel Wood, who played his little sister some time ago on TV series Once and Again - could they be together now? Other celebs included Sara Paxton and her The Beautiful Life costar Nico Tortorella, AnnaLynne McCord, Devon Aoki, Eve, and Adrian Grenier. Also attending was one of my favourite Brit hunks in Hollywood, Ed Westwick who looked gorgeously scruffy in his jeans and trainers. What a star studded celebration!

Buzz Gift Guide: Entertainment Tees For Guys

Are You Excited About the Arrested Development Movie?

Exciting times! Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz and producer Ron Howard have closed a deal for a feature film of the TV series. The humour-filled stories of the eccentric Bluth family were an incredibly entertaining series, until it was cancelled by Fox in 2005 due to low ratings. But it's been one of those shows people have continued talking about and now finally we seem pretty close to seeing the family on the big screen. So are you looking forward to the big screen debut of the Bluth family? Let me know!

Fox Searchlight Reportedly Picks Up Arrested Development Movie!

If all the "sources" are correct, Arrested Development fans have something to celebrate today: The movie is a go!

Yup, I think I just blue myself.

The Hollywood Reporter is saying today that Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard are "reportedly closing deals for the long-gestating project from Imagine and Fox Searchlight."

E! Online's Watch With Kristin is going a step further to confirm that without a doubt, the "Arrested Development movie will happen." However! There is apparently some behind-the-scenes drama already, since "one of the show's original cast members has not signed on to the movie." Kristin continues, "The good news is that aside from this actor (who, sorry, cannot be named), I'm told that all of the other main cast members have committed to be a part of the big-screen project." That utterly sucks about the one "holdout," though maybe he or she will come around? Fingers (and hooks!) crossed!

Now, if you need me I'll be in the hospital bar, wearing my "slut" t-shirt.

Which Arrested Development Character Do You Miss the Most?

In case you didn't hear, we are closer than ever to getting an Arrested Development movie! Jason Bateman recently told E! that they're in talks to resurrect the Bluths' story for the big screen.

Despite owning all three seasons of AD on DVD, I have missed the Bluths terribly since the show went off the air almost exactly two years ago. I know there are lots of AD fans lurking out there, so tell me: Which character have you missed the most?
