Neil Patrick Harris played captain at last night's TV Land Awards in LA, bringing together stars for yet another night to celebrate classic television. Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell were just two of the comedic actors who helped liven up the evening along with stars like Teri Hatcher, who also made time to attend Saturday's attending the GLAAD Awards. Matthew McConaughey wore his award show uniform after spending Saturday promoting Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with Jennifer Garner, joking with the press about marriage and raising kids in Hollywood.

Whether we love it or hate it in the end, it's great to see celebrities take risks with their looks. I've gathered some contrasting photos where one beauty detail is more exaggerated or less exaggerated in each picture. To make it fair, I'm only comparing the same celebrity with herself – so get started and let me know if you like a big impact or a more subtle look.

Notorious is a biopic based on the life and times of music legend Christopher Wallace, a.k.a Notorious B.I.G., who was tragically killed in his early 20s in a drive-by shooting. It comes extremely close to telling an interesting story about the measure of a man and the price of fame — close, but no cigar.
That said, there is a silver lining and that's the discovery of an artist named Jamal Woolard (also known as Gravy) who plays the title role.

Last night at the 2009 Critics' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, actresses Eva Longoria, Penelope Cruz, Kate Beckinsale, Angela Bassett, Kristin Scott Thomas and Evan Rachel Wood all arrived on the red carpet with their hair pulled back in chic updo's.
Even Angelina Jolie decided to go for a swept-up sleek ponytail, something we don't typically see on her when she's making a formal appearance. Out of all of these hairstyles, I like the Penelope's classic look the best and Evan's drapey and too-thick tendril the least.

Longtime readers know how much I love Angela Bassett, especially because she can wear ladylike styles with the best of 'em. At the Critics' Choice Awards, she proves that you don't need to be 21 years old to pull off a bold eye shadow color. This lilac shade stands out but isn't garish, pulling attention to her eyes while remaining elegant.

Ah, I love Angela Bassett. Upon receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday, the actress said, "Who would have thought that a little girl in pigtails from St. Petersburg, Florida, would grow up to find herself gazing at a star with her name on it, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

Last summer I posted about the interesting way filmmakers were casting the Notorious B.I.G. biopic: via Internet submissions. Apparently the folks behind the project felt that Hollywood lacked good choices for the role, and opened up auditions to the world wide web in the hopes of finding someone more authentic than a big-name star.

Okay, so you're not fans of Sienna Miller's bold brows shown here. But you can't blame the girl for following trends. Just like fashion, eyebrows follow cycles of thin, thick, arched, and everything in between.

Just when I think I've come up with a really tough Recast, you guys manage to wow me once again. I really thought last week's "The Cosby Show" challenge would be hard, since the series was on for eight seasons and had a large cast ranging from grade-school to middle-age.
But again, there were so many great entries I had trouble choosing a winner.
