In the 1979 film Rock 'n' Roll High School, the Ramones help a bunch of "rebellious students" thwart their "repressive, rock-music-hating principal." Now there's a remake coming, courtesy of none other than "shockjock" Howard Stern. Stern's other current movie project is an updated version of the raunchy 1982 comedy Porky's which, honestly, seems to make more sense for him than Rock 'n' Roll High School.

On the heels of ABC's announcements, NBC has declared what its Fall schedule will look like, with some shows not returning to the network and new original programming coming in. We'd already heard much of NBC's news, but here are some interesting tidbits from today:
- NBC has dropped My Name Is Earl and Medium, though it's possible other networks may pick those up. CBS appears fairly likely to snag Medium while Earl could land at Fox or ABC.
- Chuck fans will have to wait until after the 2010 Olympics to get their fix, as the show won't return until February 2010.

I usually think of CBS as the most boring and reserved of all the networks, but it might be getting a bit of an image makeover come fall. Announcing its new shows at today's upfronts, the network introduced some fairly unconventional dramas — including a musical, a vampire show, and a series about 1970s swingers — plus one comedy and one reality show. The network's president said the goal this year was "to be daring and different," and with "Viva Laughlin" alone (pictured above), I'd say they've got that covered.

Keanu Reeves joined his co-stars Forest Whitaker and Chris Evans on the red carpet last night for the premiere of their new movie Street Kings. Minnie Driver brought her baby bump along for the event, while Kristin Cavallari dressed to match the carpet. While the film was obviously the hot topic of the night, Keanu also weighed in on the rumors of a Bill and Ted remake, saying, "If there is [a remake] I don't know anything about it.

If you don't already know Blair Underwood's face, chances are you will by the end of this TV season. The ex-LA Law star has not one, not two, but three major TV roles going on right now — and if the schedules work out right, he could literally appear in all of them at the same time. Where's Underwood going to be?
