This year's Academy Awards didn't draw that many viewers, but they sure drummed up a lot of excitement here on the Sugar Network!

Before the ceremony last month, I asked you to predict the night's winners by filling out my Oscar ballot. This was a tricky year with a lot of great talent in each of the categories and plenty of surprises, so this was no easy task. But these 12 Buzz readers made it look simple: Each of them got at least 15 of the winners right!

Have Your Own Oscar Shorts Screening, Courtesy of iTunes

The live-action short films and animated short films from this year's Oscars are still working their way through theaters, but if the tour isn't stopping near you or you just don't have time for a trip to the movies, there's another option. All of the Oscar shorts are available on iTunes for $1.99 each.

That's really not a bad deal, considering that you could buy all 10 films for $20 - about what it would cost to see both shorts programs in the theater. And while you'd have to watch on a smaller screen, maybe the chance to make your own move snacks balances it out.

Several past winners - including last year's winning films and nominees - are also available for the same price. I'll tell you, I bought last year's winning animated short, The Danish Poet, a while back, and I still watch it all the time. Not bad for my 2 bucks!

Rewind: This Week's Buzz

The Buzz Book Club officially wrapped up The Other Boleyn Girl this week. What did you all think? Going to see the movie? Next up: Revolutionary Road!
In case you missed it (and a lot of people did) the Oscars gave us a lot of wonderful moments and a few surprises. You can see a 60-second version of the show here, and I also researched what's next for this year's big winners.
Time to play casting director: Who would you recast as Will Hunting and who would you cast as you in a movie?
This week in music videos we learn that Jack McBrayer is Mariah's love slave, Jay-Z likes his cinematography dark, and Willie Nelson is still tight with Jessica Simpson.
American Idol is picking up speed and already we're down to 16. I think the boys need to step it up this week and it's time for those talented girls to pick some great songs and show us what they've got, don't you?
NBC ordered more episodes of Lipstick Jungle, though we haven't heard a peep about the fate of Cashmere Mafia.
Adorable indie duo alert!: Zooey Deschanel and Paul Dano are pairing up for a movie. Also, this casting news has me laughing/crying a little: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to play the tooth fairy.

Every year in February, celebs are gifted with swag beyond my wildest dreams at The Oscars. This year, the mother of all award shows has taken note of the number of celebrities with pets - and apparently recognizing how much we all spend on our little companions - Oscar included some pretty sweet items for Fido and Sassy as well.

With past people prizes generally being electronics, spa treatments, and fancy trips, this year the goodies also included some high-end pet beauty products, clothing, and things that sparkle. Fab Flash: Select Oscar Dresses Already Being Reproduced

We all love a Look for Less, but when the Oscar red carpet has finished, the knockoff manufacturers kick into high gear. Which celebrities' dresses made the cut? Cachet, a New York-based eveningwear company, plans on replicating Heidi Klum's John Galliano, Anne Hathaway's Marchesa, Katherine Heigl's Escada, and Jessica Alba's eggplant-colored Marchesa, to be in stores next September.

Meanwhile, Faviana New York has its eyes set on reproducing Katherine Heigl's Escada for $328 (above), Miley Cyrus' $10,550 Valentino for $248, Amy Adam's Proenza Schouler for $258, and Jessica Alba's $6,000+ Marchesa for $300, to be available in the next 4-5 weeks. Sugar Bits - Madonna's Album to Be Released in April

Madonna's upcoming album is named Hard Candy and will be released in the US on April 29, but the first single, "Four Minutes," will be available in March. We can't wait to hear what she's come up with, especially with collaborators like JT! - Entertainment Weekly
Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch has been foreclosed by the bank and will be auctioned off, contents included, on March 19, unless he somehow comes up with the money. Good luck to whomever has a spare $24.5 million! - CasaSugar
Whoopi Goldberg has accepted the apology of an an Oscars producer, who explained that she was omitted from one of the show's retrospective montages simply due to an oversight. Now, let's just hope next year's show is bigger and better in every way.- People

Which Awards Show Has Been Your Favorite?

As the Oscars hubbub subsides, so concludes another frenzied season of major awards shows. There was the Emmys ceremony back in September, before the writers strike, and then the starkly pared-down Golden Globes during the strike. There were the Grammys and, of course, last Sunday's Oscars show.

So tell me: Which awards show has been your favorite?

Marion Cotillard's Oscar Dress, From Runway to Red Carpet

Just like with Ellen Pompeo and her SAG Awards gown, for Marion Cotillard and her Oscars gown, it was love at first sight. "I've worked with him several times," she said of Jean Paul Gaultier, who designed her fishtailed frock. "When I saw this dress from his last collection, I knew I wanted to wear it."

Her white and silver mermaid gown was based on a similar dress from Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring 2008 couture collection - except that one was black and gold. So I'm asking you to step back, and imagine: Do you like Marion's dress as she wore it, or do you wish she would have worn the black and gold runway version? I'm having trouble deciding which I would have preferred . . .
