Buzz In: What Are You Still Watching?

It happens every fall: All the new series premiere, and I get overly ambitious, loading up my TiVo with any new show that sounds remotely interesting. But six weeks into the TV season, the truth is settling in: I'm never going to get around to watching some of these series.

So I'm wondering, Buzz readers: What shows have earned a permanent spot on your "must watch" list - and which have you dropped like hot potatoes since the start of the season? Do you love any shows you thought you'd hate? Do you hate any shows you thought you'd love? And did you have to let go of any old favorites to make a space for up-and-comers on your viewing schedule?

Welcome back, fall TV! Want to weigh in on what you thought of this week's wave of season premieres? Check out my rundowns of this week's "Heroes," "House," "Private Practice," "Reaper," "The Office," "Grey's Anatomy," "Chuck" and "Ugly Betty." If you watched closely this week and think you know your stuff, take my TV quiz!
Speaking of fall, get in the mood for the chilly season with Matt Pond PA's distinctly autumnal album Last Light. I think it's pretty darn great.

PopSugar's Fall Favorite TV Picks

Tonight some of our favorite shows are returning and since Fall TV is officially here, enjoy my list of favorite new shows to watch. Sorry I am a bit late but considering Buzz has already dished on all her picks including, 5 to watch, 5 to skip and 5 she's on the fence with we know you have been very well informed already. The good news is Buzz and I agree on 4 out of her 5 to watch (sorry Reaper - we're just not that into you). The 4 shows we are obsessing over are Pushing Daises, Dirty Sexy Money, Chuck and Gossip Girl (the latter two brought to us by the genius Josh Schwartz who made our dreams come true).

Chuck was the first show I started crushing on. The adorable Zachary Levi as a geeky guy who gets pulled into an Alias-like life just instantly grabbed my attention.

However, even cuter than Chuck is an equally dorky guy named, Ned. The pie maker from the fairy tale show, Pushing Daisies, is literally the sweetest character on TV this fall. Unlike most gratuitous sex scenes and phrases on TV these days, this show has a great story line about a couple who can't even touch yet it's very heartwarming.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is Dirty Sexy Money. Peter Krause from Six Feet Under is now a lawyer for one of the richest families in NYC. It's hard to not get sucked into the life of the rich and well, the richer.

Which then leads us to Gossip Girl. High school. Rich kids. Josh Schwartz. Beautiful clothes and hair. What more could you want in an hour of TV? We're two episodes in and already talking non-stop to our friends about Team Serena vs Team Blair.

While all my shows may have a theme of dreamy men or rich Manhattenites, it's way more than that. Just trust me. As for a favorite 5th. The jury is still out. I want to like Big Shots but the pilot was way cheesy so it doesn't make the cut. I also want to like Private Practice but based on last night's episode, we're not so sure it's gonna happen. We're holding out that Cashmere Mafia is the 5th show but I have yet to see the pilot so I can't officially add it to the list.... yet.

Fall TV Preview: The TV Bloggers' Cheat Sheet

As we move into the heart of the fall TV season, my friends at The TV Addict and TapeWorthy asked a group of great TV bloggers to rank which of the fall shows were must-sees and which looked like must-skips. The result: This cheat sheet with a baker's dozen opinions on each of the pilots.

BuzzSugar, DaemonsTV, Ducky Does TV, Give Me My Remote, Glowy Box, Mikey Likes TV, Scooter McGavin, Silly Pipe Dreams, Seat42f, TapeWorthy, The TV Addict, TiFaux and Tube Talk rated each of the shows. We were unanimous in our love for "Pushing Daisies," while "Bionic Woman" and "The Big Bang Theory" were a bit more divisive. To check out the full chart, just read more

Which New Comedy is Most Likely to Succeed?

Last week, I asked you which new comedy will be canceled the fastest, and the consensus was pretty firmly in favor of "Cavemen." Let's see if the results are as unanimous this time: Which of these comedies is most likely to be a breakout hit?

Watch the "Friday Night Lights" Premiere Online Now!

I was totally bummed when I saw that "Friday Night Lights" wasn't returning till October, so imagine my joy when I learned that I don't have to wait after all: The full episode is streaming right now on Yahoo! TV. The episode is only online till Sunday, so I'll have to decide pretty quickly if I need to watch now or if I can hold out for the official premiere.

Meanwhile, for those of you still on the fence about the show, check out this column from Bill Simmons, a writer for ESPN. Sure, his normal domain is sports and not television, but when someone says "If you like to watch TV, you wouldn't knowingly turn your back on a great show" and then calls the series "the best date show ever," I certainly take notice.

Meanwhile, if you're still looking for pilots online, "Chuck" can be seen on Yahoo! TV, "The Big Bang Theory" is on Yahoo! and on iTunes, and "Life" is on AOL TV. Enjoy!

Run Your Own TV Network with TV Bigshot

Ever look at a network's TV schedule and think you could do so, so much better? TV Bigshot is giving you a chance to prove it.

The game, from the minds behind Television Without Pity, is basically Fantasy TV Executive: You get a budget of $300 million to "buy" shows for your network, and you earn points based on how well each show does in the ratings. As the season goes on, you can dump shows that aren't doing well and pick up others that you think are about to take off. There are a bunch of monthly challenges with prizes attached, and at the end of the TV season, the person with the most points will win $100,000.

I've already set up the BuzzSugar network and spent most of my $300 million budget on shows - some of which I think will do well long-term, others of which I'm just using to earn some quick cash. Molly and Pop are playing, too. To see what's on my roster, read more

"Heroes" - I think all the new characters have as good a chance of hurting the show as they do of helping, but I have my fingers crossed for a big premiere.
"Private Practice" - At $53 million, this seemed like a steal (compared to, say, "Grey's Anatomy" at $144 million). I might dump it after making a quick buck on the premiere.
"Gossip Girl" - This was one of the cheapest shows I could buy, which made it a no-brainer for me.
"Ugly Betty" - It's a solid show, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it get an Emmy boost.
"30 Rock" - Speaking of Emmy boosts, I suspect this Outstanding Comedy Series winner will soon be worth way more than the $37 million I paid for it.
"Reaper" - I had some cash left over, so I picked this up; I'm not sure how it will do in the ratings, but since it's one of my five to watch this fall, I figured I might as well take a chance.

That leaves me with $12 million for dumping shows (which costs $1 million each time) and trading up as the season goes on.
