Check Out CW's New Shows For Fall

We're nearing the end of upfronts week, which means most of the major networks have rolled out the previews for their new shows for Fall. The CW took its turn today, and after unveiling the new lineup, we got a closer look at the five new shows coming to the network. We've already heard a lot about the anticipated Carrie Diaries, but here's a taste of what else is coming to the CW.

90210 Moves to Mondays and More Schedule Switcheroos on The CW's Fall Schedule

Come Fall, the only recognizable thing about The CW's schedule will be The Vampire Diaries. Everything else is getting a major overhaul. While the network is keeping a lot of their series, nearly all of them are shifting times or days. 90210 is moving to Mondays, bumping Gossip Girl back an hour; Hart of Dixie will now be on Tuesdays before the new show Emily Owens, M.D.; and Supernatural has finally made it out of the Friday doldrums and been placed in a prime Wednesday night spot. The CW Pilots: New Shows Coming in Fall 2012

We already gave you the initial info on the new pilots coming this Fall to Fox and NBC, but now we bring you the list from The CW. And it's good news! Five new hour-long series have been picked up by the network for the Fall TV season.

The Carrie Diaries: This highly anticipated series stars AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie Bradshaw in 1984, during her pre-Sex and the City high school days.
First Cut: As if being a new doctor wasn't tough enough, a recent med school graduate (Mamie Gummer) realizes that old crushes and enemies will be working alongside her at her first job.
Cult: After his brother mysteriously disappears, investigative journalist Jeff Sefton (Matt Davis) uncovers the underworld of a popular TV show and all its crazy fans.
Arrow: After being shipwrecked on a deserted island, a billionaire makes his way back home and does his best to integrate himself back into normal life and right his past wrongs. At the same time, he takes on a new persona called Arrow (the show is based on the comic-book series) and fights crime.
Beauty & the Beast: Kristin Kreuk stars as homicide detective Catherine Chandler, a strong-willed cop who witnessed her mother's murder when she was just a teenager. She would have been murdered too, but with the help of an outside force she could never explain, she managed to escape. She soon learns that her savior is a man who turns into a beast at night.

The CW Renews The Vampire Diaries, 90210, and Supernatural

Good news if you're a fan of The CW - the network has just renewed three series! Fan favorites The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural will be back for seasons four and eight respectively, while 90210 will head into season five. It's no surprise that The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural will be back, especially since TVD is the network's highest-rated show, but I am a little shocked to see 90210 continuing to stay strong. The news leaves a few shows still left in the lurch, including Ringer, Hart of Dixie, and Nikita, but we're most interested to learn the fate of Gossip Girl, and whether or not the network will try to squeeze one more season out of the series.

The CW brought out a treat for the Winter TCA: their hot male actors. Kristoffer Polaha of Ringer, Wilson Bethel of Hart of Dixie, Jared Padalecki of Supernatural, Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl, Joseph Morgan of The Vampire Diaries, and Shane West of Nikita were all part of "The BadAss Boys of The CW" panel. The very good-looking group sat down, took questions, and quipped about why they (or their characters) were so badass. Get Your First Look at Rachel Bilson's New Series, Hart of Dixie

I will forever hold a place in my heart for The O.C., which means I'll also always have a soft spot for its core cast members. That's why I'm practically giddy that Rachel Bilson (aka Summer) is making her return to the small screen this Fall on the new CW series Hart of Dixie. Bilson stars as Zoe Hart (yes, it made me think of Grey's Anatomy too), a doctor who gets uprooted from NYC to the Deep South. The previews have the bad accents you'd expect from the premise, but at least Zoe kind of seems like Summer Roberts all grown up. The real question is whether or not Scott Porter can be her Seth Cohen.

The CW Renews One Tree Hill, Axes Hellcats, and Picks Up 4 Pilots

I've got a lot of good news (and a little bad news) for fans of The CW: the network has renewed fan favorite One Tree Hill and freshman series Nikita - but Hellcats didn't make the cut. The network will present its full Fall lineup later this week, but I've already got the details on the new pilots, which include the return of small-screen stars like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Rachel Bilson.

The Secret Circle: From Vampire Diaries creator Kevin Williamson, this supernatural series revolves around a girl (Life Unexpected's Britt Robertson) who discovers she's a witch when she moves to a new town. The series is based on a trilogy by L.J. Smith, who also wrote The Vampire Diaries books.
Hart of Dixie: The O.C. alum Rachel Bilson returns to TV as a doctor/native New Yorker who heads to the South when she inherits a new practice.
Ringer: Sarah Michelle Gellar pulls double duty as a woman on the run who takes on the identity of her twin sister - but, as it turns out, her twin has problems of her own.
H8ER: A reality show hosted by Mario Lopez that pits celebrities against their biggest haters. The pilot features Snooki and Kim Kardashian.

The pretty young things of the CW had their turn to party last night after a day of presenting their new fall schedule at Upfronts presentations in NYC. The cast of The Vampire Diaries stuck together on the carpet, where Nina Dobrev showed off her tan fresh from a bikini-filled vacation in Turks and Caicos. Ashley Tisdale is joining the network's array of beautiful faces as she started to promote her show, Hellcats. Chace Crawford represented the Gossip Girl crew after Monday's very dramatic season finale. One Tree Hill was saved from cancellation once again, and we're not complaining that it brought Robert Buckley out to the bash. Finally, 90210's AnnaLynne McCord expressed her love for her boyfriend - Twilight's Kellan Lutz, if they're still going strong - on her t-shirt. Beyond Ashley, there's a handful of other fresh faces among the crowd, and Buzz is introducing us to the CW's newest stars!
