Phew! It's finally here. The fact that we've waited this long for the The Time Traveler's Wife trailer — and the fact that the release date has been pushed back (originally to February 2010!) — had me mighty worried, not gonna lie.

I know many of you enjoyed reading Audrey Niffenegger's novel The Time Traveler's Wife and are probably as anxious as I am to see the movie this August (and at least see a trailer one of these days, sheesh!). I hope the movie is as riveting, romantic and poignant as the book was, and I really hope the soundtrack is great. This is one movie for which I'd love to help choose the music.

Once upon a time, I naively believed The Time Traveler's Wife was going to be released in late December of 2008. So I anxiously awaited a trailer for this adaptation of one of my favorite books. And the trailer never came.

First, the good news for fans of Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife: A second novel is on the way and it's titled Her Fearful Symmetry.
Now, the good news for Audrey Niffenegger: She sold this new book to Scribner for $5 million dollars! This is an enormous amount of money for an advance during any time, but it's particularly stunning right now given the economic climate and the shaky fiscal ground on which the publishing world is balancing.

Ron Livingston certainly does not have a case of the Mondays. According to Hollywood Reporter, the star of Office Space has signed on for a role alongside Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana in the film adaptation of the bestselling book The Time Traveler's Wife. Here's more:

Well, now it's official: Rachel McAdams will play the title role in the film adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger's best-selling novel The Time Traveler's Wife, and Eric Bana will play her husband, the time traveler himself. The novel is about Henry and Claire, whose love withstands the fact that Henry sometimes leaps through time when he is stressed out.
I read this book — loved it — and find it difficult to imagine a film version, but with actors like these two, my fears have been allayed ...

Though having completed "only one" novel, Audrey Niffenegger has achieved with The Time Traveler's Wife what many veteran authors have not even achieved through a collection of works: a solid, thorough, well-researched, and gorgeously told love story. She weaves the lives of Henry and Claire, a couple destined to be together throughout their entire lives, as Henry, due to a genetic quirk, defeats the confines of time and space, shuttling back and forth between his past and present. The concept is not easy to sum up quickly, but once the reader understands what Henry does, it is impossible to doubt that this is a reality.

- Earlier this week I posed five questions for Grey's Anatomy, including the question of who was coming back given that in the season finale, both Izzie and George looked like they might kick the bucket. Well, now we know: George will go, and Izzie will live. So what do you think of this news?

Every Summer boasts a ton of new movies — usually big blockbusters that are sure to bring in the mega-bucks. Last year we got some doozies (namely, The Dark Knight) and this year there are many as well (including a Harry Potter movie). Do you think the Summer of '09 has a more impressive movie offering than the Summer of '08 did?

It sort of feels like we shared this episode of Lost with other projects that needed some promotin', though I actually thought it was cool when the black behind the opening Lost logo turns into stars, which turns into a Star Trek promo. And . .
