Watching Sunday's season finale of The Hills, it's pretty clear the show saw the episode as a changing of the guard. Departing star Lauren Conrad and incoming star Kristin Cavallari even showed up to Heidi and Spencer's wedding wearing the same shade of blue, and Kristin triumphantly caught Heidi's bouquet while Lauren was sneaking out a side door.
We've heard that Kristin is already stirring up trouble, and after the show last night, we got our first look at some footage from the new episodes, which will begin airing sometime in the Fall.

It's the end of an era tonight as Lauren Conrad says goodbye to The Hills with Heidi and Spencer's big wedding. MTV's successful reality show will be back without Ms. Conrad, but tonight still marks the end of The Hills, as we've known it.

Lauren Conrad may be on her way out, but The Hills is rolling on. That's the word from MTV's Upfront presentation to advertisers today, where the network officially announced that The Hills will return for at least one more season.
The new episodes will premiere this Fall.

Tonight, Lauren Conrad begins her swan song on The Hills, and I'm sure there will be plenty of drama to squeeze into the next several weeks. MTV is still trying to decide if the show can go on without Lauren (a ton of you said it shouldn't), but I'm wondering if you're more likely to tune in knowing it's Lauren's final round. Check out the promo below and then tell me: Does Lauren's departure make you more interested in tuning in?

Lauren Conrad has said that the forthcoming season of The Hills, which returns March 30 to MTV, will be her last.
But that doesn't necessarily mean it's curtains for The Hills itself. A source has now said that MTV is looking into renewing the series with the rest of the cast — Audrina, Heidi, Spencer, etc.

While I've been following Whitney Port's life in The City, I have to admit that there's nothing quite like the drama of original-flavor Hills. The show's expected to return in late March, and this trailer for the new episodes (which is either "bonus episodes" for season four or the start of season five — MTV keeps changing its mind) is full of crying, hugging, punching, and . .

What do The Hills, Fringe, and The Mentalist have in common? They've all been honored with spots at this year's Paley Television Festival in Los Angeles.
This year's lineup for the festival seems like an especially eclectic group of shows — there's reality, there's online (Dr.

LA isn't the only breeding ground for blond socialites with friendship issues: Lifetime has picked up the Hills-like "docu-series" titled Blonde Charity Mafia which will follow the lives of three of Washington, DC's young, elite ladies. Citizen came across the casting call listing back in February, and it looks like the showrunners finally found their talent: Katherine Kennedy (pictured above), Krista Johnson, and Sophie Pyle.
The Washington Post's TV columnist Lisa de Moraes writes about the show:
Lifetime gushed in its announcement that its hot blond chicks' "events are always a hot ticket; their dating lives are gossiped about; and sometimes merely their simple daily activities are chatter within the DC social set.
