The Beautiful Life Gets Cancelled After Only Two Episodes!
The CW has pulled the plug on The Beautiful Life after airing only two episodes. The ratings were dismal for the premiere and apparently things weren't looking up after the second week on the air. This makes TBL the first of the new Fall shows to be canceled after two other new CW shows — Melrose Place and The Vampire Diaries — were both picked up for more episodes.

Mischa Barton is back on the small screen as a Kate Moss type whose career has mysteriously fallen by the wayside, while Sarah Paxton is the younger model gearing up to take her place. It's CW day at the TCA press tour, where panelists wearing sparkles abound. The network has spent the morning launching its new shows, starting with The Vampire Diaries and The Beautiful Life. Read on to learn more about the CW's take on models and vampires — and see lots of new photos of both shows.
The Beautiful Life: A Longer Look
Models and The CW go together like mashed potatoes and gravy, so I've been curious to see more about The Beautiful Life, the Ashton Kutcher-produced drama series that the network picked up at last month's Upfronts. The show focuses on a group of models living together and trying to make it big in New York, with Mischa Barton and Corbin Bleu among the stars.
The new, extended trailer the network released this week looks a little different from what I'd been expecting.

The CW's Fall Schedule: Vampires, Models, and LA Singles
The CW wrapped up network Upfront week this morning by presenting its schedule for Fall 2009. And it's about what was expected, especially after the first photos leaked out yesterday: the three new series in the Fall lineup are Vampire Diaries, the Melrose Place reboot, and The Beautiful Life.
In terms of scheduling, Melrose will air on Tuesdays after 90210 (remake city!), while Beautiful Life gets the post-America's Next Top Model slot on Wednesdays (model city!).

The CW doesn't present its Fall schedule until tomorrow, but the network delivered a treat today, as photos from new series Melrose Place, The Beautiful Life, and Vampire Diaries turned up online.
The Melrose reboot counts Ashlee Simpson, Greek/Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star Michael Rady, and Katie Cassidy among its cast. The Beautiful Life, about models trying to make it in New York, is produced by Ashton Kutcher and stars Mischa Barton.
