Oh the drama. I wouldn't call the finale of The Bachelor the most "shocking Bachelor ever" — even though Chris Harrison might disagree — but it definitely managed to raise a few eyebrows. As the final rose ceremony came to a close, a very emotional Jake turned away audience favorite Tenley for Vienna.

Tonight is the season finale of The Bachelor, featuring Jake, the sensitive pilot who likes making out almost as much as he likes blatant metaphors. Will he choose Tenley, the "sweet" contestant? Or Vienna, her "spicy" other half?

If my giddiness over the Real Housewives of New York preview didn't already tip you off, I'm quasi-addicted to several reality shows. Also towards the top of my list: The Bachelor.
This week, I found myself watching the program's special "The Women Tell All" reunion where past contestants air grievances and try to laugh off embarrassing clips of them portrayed like marriage-obsessed nut jobs (I'm looking at you, Michelle).

Tonight brings back ABC's The Bachelor for its 14th season. Fourteen! I started watching back in 2002; since then, we've seen its spinoff The Bachelorette, a televised wedding (Trista and Ryan), and an explosive breakup in front of millions (Melissa and Jason) as the drama continues to get more ridiculous each year.

People are still buzzing about the controversial conclusion to this season of The Bachelor, and this morning I hopped on a call with the show's executive producer and creator, Mike Fleiss, who took questions from reporters on how it all went down. Fleiss defended his decision to tape the heartbreaking postfinale episode — in which Jason dumped Melissa, to whom he'd previously proposed, and rekindled things with Molly — in the studio, saying that because Jason's feelings for Melissa involved another person from the "Bachelor universe," producers felt compelled to tell a complete story on air. "We are making a TV show," he said.
