Teaser Trailer for Terminator Salvation, Starring Christian Bale

Though I was all prepared to check out the teaser trailer for the fourth Terminator movie later tonight (it was supposed to come online around 9:00 p.m. EST), it appears that the video is available online right now. And it's pretty spooky.

The footage, such as it is, is scratchy and choppy, cutting in and out ominously while Christian Bale, as John Connor, explains that "this is not the future my mother warned me about." The scariest part comes in the last few moments - and that's the part that I think will make audiences cheer when they see this before The Dark Knight this weekend.

Teaser for Marley & Me (Also Known As: Puppies Are Cute)

Puppy. Running along a beach. "Chariots of Fire." And. . . my morning is officially awesome. Does this video show anything substantial about the movie Marley & Me? No. But it's a pretty cute taste, anyway.

An adaptation of the book by John Grogan, Marley & Me stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson as the owners of a spirited dog named Marley who teach them "important life lessons." To check out the new teaser trailer for the film (opening Christmas Day), read more.

Iron Man . . . Wait, Don't Leave Before End of Credits

Lisa and I just came back from the best comic book movie ever made, period. I agree with Buzz's glowing review. When you do go see it, you must stay till after the credits . . . as they give us a great teaser for Iron Man 2.

Teaser Trailer for Get Smart With Steve Carell

As the name suggests, this mini-trailer for Get Smart is truly a tease. There are a few moments of Steve Carell doing funny things along with glimpses of other actors in the movie, like Anne Hathaway, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Alan Arkin. In this remake of Mel Brooks' 1960s TV series, Carell plays the hapless Agent 86, Maxwell Smart. Hathaway plays Smart's levelheaded partner, Agent 99. I've rarely been this excited about a movie that's not coming out for another year (June 20, 2008), but this movie promises to be a lot of fun.

Movie Preview: Adam Sandler and Chris Rock in Grown Ups

I've been watching over the past several months as the cast roster for Grown Ups continued to add more of Adam Sandler's previous SNL colleagues and close friends - Tim Meadows, Maya Rudolph, Colin Quinn. It's like he decided to make a project where he could invite everyone he knows to jump on board and have fun. And the cast really does appear to be having a good time in the trailer - I'm just not 100 percent sure I'm right there with them.

The film follows Sandler and his childhood friends (Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade) as they reunite one Fourth of July weekend to honor the death of their basketball coach. Sounds kinda like The Big Chill, but as to be expected with a Happy Madison film, it's ridiculously slapstick. I love all of these guys, but the bits in this teaser definitely aren't as roll-on-the-floor funny as I had hoped with such a star-studded cast. (Really, a breast-milk joke?!) But maybe I'm just judging it too quickly. The film opens in June, but take a peek at the video and tell me your thoughts when you read more.

Movie Preview: Toy Story 3

Back in April we got a taste of Toy Story 3 with this little teaser, but that was nothing compared to the full-length trailer. It doesn't take much more than Randy Newman's voice and a few flashbacks to Andy's life with Woody, Buzz, and the gang to remind me how Pixar can be so damn emotionally manipulative - in the best way, of course.

In the movie's third installment, little Andy is all grown up and heading off to college. Like most of us, he's abandoned his childhood treasures for more grown-up toys (like an over-stickered laptop). Overcome with the fear of being chucked (or getting sold on eBay), Woody, Buzz, and their tiny toy army find themselves in an even worse predicament - a kid's daycare center. The original film still stands tall among my Pixar favorites, and there's something so comforting about hearing all those celebrity voices again. Considering how well the Toy Story 1 & 2 3-D double feature is doing at the box office right now, I won't be alone when the movie hits theaters next Summer.
