NBC Thursday Night Comedy Block Review of The Office, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Community, and More

NBC's Thursday night comedy block had a solid batch of all-new episodes this week, with many of them celebrating Valentine's Day with a side of hilarity. I watched them all — Community, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, The Office, Outsourced, and Perfect Couples, and like last week, I want you to weigh in on which comedy you thought was the best this week. April and Andy Get Married on Parks and Recreation

When April and Andy confessed their love for each other during the Harvest Festival on Parks and Recreation, I thought the writers were unnecessarily rushing their fledgling relationship (they haven't even been together for a whole season yet!). Well, little did I know that their romance was about to take an even bigger step, as the intern and shoe-shiner threw themselves a surprise wedding on Read more

NBC Renews Community, Parks and Recreation, The Office

Good news for devoted fans of NBC's Thursday night community block: the network has given early renewals to The Office, Community, and Parks and Recreation. (30 Rock was already picked up earlier this year). We'll have to wait until upfronts to Read more

Aziz Ansari's Food Slang on Parks and Recreation

This week's episode of Parks and Recreation contains one of Tom Haverford's greatest moments on the show ever. After Leslie reluctantly asks him out on a date to see if they have chemistry, he goes through a thorough explanation of the slang words he has for his favorite foods. Sample: sandwiches are "sandoozles" and cakes are "big 'ol cookies." The real joy, though, are the expressions and Read more
