Eclipse is still months away, so what are the Twi-hards of the world to do until then? For starters, the Twilight kids have lots of other movies in the works. Box Office: Avatar Blows Away the Competition
Avatar ran away with this weekend's box office, bringing in $73 million in theaters. It's a large number, but not quite as big as anticipated — a letdown that many are blaming on the East Coast blizzard, which caused a significant drop in sales figures from Friday to Saturday. Still, the film brought in $232.2 million worldwide, which means that James Cameron is well on his way to making back that $500 million price tag for the film.

Some couples were built to last while others fizzled, but there's no denying that 2009 brought a new batch of romances that made our hearts swell. Which is your favorite of 2009?
Box Office: The Princess and The Frog Leaps to the Top
Disney's princesses can still bring it: In its opening weekend, The Princess and the Frog topped the box office with $25 million. The animated film knocked out last week's champ, the underdog drama The Blind Side, which came in second and drew in $15.4 million.
Matt Damon's Invictus debuted in the third spot with $9 million, while New Moon dropped to the fourth spot with $8 million.

We've already talked about the best dude buddies of '09, but this year gave us several true-blue girlfriends, too (plus a BFF mother-daughter pair). After Twilight blew up the box office a year ago, the fan base for Stephenie Meyer's vampire romance series seemed to explode exponentially — suddenly everyone was rabid for developments about the sequel. Yes, 2009 was dominated by New Moon — whether you liked it or not, the movie and its stars were everywhere.
The pressure on the movie's studio, Summit, to make a bigger and better sequel was high, resulting in some shakeups behind the camera as well as in front.
