When it comes to exciting entertainment options, November is ready to razzle dazzle. I'm talking A-list talent (Clooney!), TV sweeps with awesome guest appearances, and a little film called New Moon — perhaps you've heard of it? Oh, and just in case you weren't busy enough already, there are new DVD and music releases, too.

It's probably a holdover from school days but the Fall always makes me think of exciting new beginnings, and I still feel that thrill in September as my favorite TV shows start up again. In addition to new episodes and series, other newbies to the entertainment scene this month include a remake of a beloved '80s movie, a funny-looking film starring Matt Damon, two interesting music picks and a new book to read before it's adapted for the small screen. Check out what I'm most excited for this month.

It's July, and things are heating up both outside and in the entertainment world. My calendar this month is full of must-have book releases, movie premieres, and TV series debuts, but for today, I've managed to whittle the list down to seven favorites. I've got two books worthy of checking out, plus some DVD releases worth noting.

For many of you, the month of June means sunny weather, backyard BBQs, and maybe even a well-earned vacation. Here in San Francisco we just have some "June gloom" which is dense fog that makes every day feel like a "snuggle up inside" day. So that probably makes me a good entertainment guide for the month as I will still be indoors watching one of June's cutest-looking movies, listening to some great new music, and catching all the finales and premieres on TV.

May is one of the entertainment year's blockbuster months: Big movies swoop into theaters again, TV shows have their season finales, record labels start delivering albums that will be our Summer soundtrack, and networks start getting us excited for the shows that will fill the TV schedule come Fall. So with that in mind, I tried to pick some gems for this month's Must Haves list that could easily get lost in the shuffle without a little extra attention.

Yippee! April is here, and that makes me happy because the weather in my part of the country is lovely right now. But this month also contains some great entertainment stuff: one of my favorite annual celebrations, a really cool live radio event, and some buzzworthy new CD and DVD releases.

It's still cold outside, so thankfully there's plenty of at-home entertainment to be had in March. For starters, it's a great month for music with one album coming out by one of my favorite female vocalists and another by a band that I hope pumps out new music for years to come. There's also an Oscar-nominated movie arriving on DVD, along with a holiday holdover that will warm your heart during this final stretch of Winter.

Valentine's Day may warm the heart, but for many of us February is still pretty freaking cold. So, it's a good thing there's plenty to bring home on DVD this month when the weather's crappy, and there's a good reason to head to a movie theater. There's also exciting music out this month to help with the winter doldrums, not to mention a kickass TV show debut.
