Brad Pitt Gives Sean Penn Daddy Issues in the Tree of Life Trailer

Tree of Life, the Terrence Malik drama starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, has been in limbo for the last couple of years, but today it's finally seeing the light of day. The first trailer for the film is heavy, ominous, and has just a hint of magic. Set in the 1950s, we follow the upbringing of three boys as their parents (Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain) commit themselves to teaching their sons the truths of the world. Though his wife warns him that he's being too hard on them, Pitt's character can't help but leave a lasting impression on his kids, particularly Jack.

Fast forward 40 some-odd years, and we see a forlorn-looking Jack (Sean Penn) reflecting on his childhood and pondering life's more difficult questions. I'm feeling kind of ambivalent about this one: it looks like it could be incredibly powerful or kind of a snoozefest. The film's release is set for May 2011, but watch the preview when you

Trailer: Return to Narnia With The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and the rest of the C.S. Lewis series were some of my favorite books growing up, so I've always had a soft spot for the Chronicles of Narnia movies (not to mention, I could listen to Aslan all day - Liam Neeson's voice is so soothing!). The first entry in the franchise garnered attention with its cinematography and all-star cast (remember James McAvoy as fawn Mr. Tumnus?), but the franchise slipped with the last film, Prince Caspian. Luckily, the best part of that flick - the incredibly nice to look at Ben Barnes - is back for this third installment, along with a bevy of gorgeous scenery.

In The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Lucy, Edmund, and their cousin Eustace return to the alternate world when a painting washes them into the ocean. There, they climb aboard the ship the Dawn Treader, where Caspian and Reepicheep await, and set out to find the seven lost lords of Narnia. The two older Pevensies sit this story out, so I'll be curious to see how the movie fares without them; however, this preview does a good job of getting me excited (the sweeping music helps). Life as We Know It Trailer: Laughs, Tears, and Plenty of Poo

In Life as We Know It, Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel star as Holly and Eric, two singles left with the tough task of raising their goddaughter - the child of their mutual friends (watch for Mad Men's Christina Hendricks) - after they're killed in an accident. Oh, and did I mention they once went on a disastrous date, and therefore, now sort of hate each other?

You can guess where this is going: after taking care of the adorable little tyke, Holly and Eric start to fall in love and form their own family. Predictable, yes, but the trailer looks sweet (although I do question how they're going to balance the more dramatic elements like death with say, poop jokes).
