Watch Ron Burgundy and the Boys in Two Anchorman 2 Teasers!

It's been eight long years since the original, but Anchorman 2 is so on, you guys. The movie is finally coming out in 2013, but two short teasers are here - and as brief as they are, they're both pretty funny. Will Ferrell's legendary Ron Burgundy is back on deck with his fellow news anchors, Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Champ Kind (David Koechner), and Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), and as usual, Brick needs help coming up with anything to say in both of the clips.

Like I said, they're short, and we also have no idea what the plot will be, but I dare you not to get excited that Anchorman 2 is a reality. Watch the teasers and let me know what you think after the jump.

Movie Preview: The Haunting in Connecticut

This movie doesn't open until sometime next year, but someone must have wanted to take advantage of the Halloween spirit by releasing the trailer for it now. The Haunting in Connecticut is a based-on-real-events movie in which a family moves to a spooky old home, only to be haunted by the terrible things that happened there years ago. Turns out, their new home used to be a mortuary.

It does look frightening, though most of this comes from jump-scares and glimpses of things that look like they might be really gross, but you don't know for sure so your mind fills in the blanks with gross things anyway. It's too bad this isn't coming out for a while; I'd be all for making this a Halloween-time must-see.

Movie Preview: Bryan Singer's Valkyrie

Oh, Bryan Singer's beleaguered Valkyrie. From multiple release date changes, to trouble with Germany, to rumors of doctoring historical photos, this movie has been plagued with setbacks and bad press for a long time. With equal parts curiosity and trepidation, I awaited a real trailer for the film, which is now opening Dec. 26. Now that the trailer is here, it looks better than I expected.

Visually, I love the look of this movie so far. Singer directed The Usual Suspects (and X-Men, Superman Returns and X2), and with Valkyrie it appears that he has again captured an eerie, ominous tone. What isn't working for me is Tom Cruise whom I simply don't find believable in this role (the list of supporting actors, however, is promising: Bill Nighy, Eddie Izzard, Kenneth Branagh, and more). Cruise plays a high-ranking German officer (with an American accent . . ?) who plots to assassinate Hitler during the height of WWII. The code name for the assassination plan is "Valkyrie." Movie Preview: Trouble the Water

The documentary Trouble the Water was the winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, and the buzz around this movie has continued to build from there. The film centers around Kimberly Rivers Roberts and her boyfriend who were trapped in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit. Roberts videotaped the the entire ordeal, which was, as you might imagine, horrifying.

The extraordinary footage of the catastrophe aside, what appears to be at the heart of the movie is the additional devastation caused by the government's apparent indifference toward the city's most vulnerable citizens.

It seems like it would be a heart-wrenching film, but I've heard just the opposite. Even the trailer suggests there's something of a life-affirming vibe underneath the telling of this terrible chapter in our recent history.

The movie opens August 22 in L.A. and New York and will have a wider release later. To check out the trailer for yourself,

The Official Trailer: How to Lose Friends and Alienate People

"Based on the true story of a real idiot."

The teaser for How to Lose Friends and Alienate People was kinda "meh" and the international trailer was downright odd. Now we have the "official" trailer for us Americans who are curious about this movie starring Simon Pegg, Megan Fox, Jeff Bridges, and Kirsten Dunst, and I have to say it is definitely an improvement. I didn't necessarily laugh at any of the moments that are supposed to be funny, but at least I can figure out what to expect from this film.

Based on the true-life story of author Toby Young, the movie looks a touch forced. Still, I adore Simon Pegg (who I recently got to interview - stay tuned for that!) and want to keep an open mind until it opens October 3.

Straight-to-DVD Preview: The Lost Boys Sequel

Once upon a time, the sensational teen duo known as "the Cories" were hot young Hollywood talents. Over the years, though, neither of them have had much of a career, whatever celebrity sparkle they once possessed dulled by both obscurity and stints on reality television.

Given this, you can kind of see why both Corey Feldman and Corey Haim would feel compelled to reprise their roles in the quintessential cult vampire flick of the '80s The Lost Boys in the straight-to-DVD sequel, Lost Boys 2: The Tribe. I just wish they'd directed this need to become relevant again into something else.

In an interview with MTV News, Corey Feldman describes this next installment as the first film "on steroids," by which he means there is "more gore, there's more nudity, which there definitely wasn't in the first film." Ugh. As a fan of the original, I don't understand why the Cories feel the need to ruin my memories with this ridiculousness. To check out the trailer for the DVD,

First Look: Daniel Radcliffe in December Boys

We all know that Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter equals box office gold, but what about his film career outside of Hogwarts? Well, in December Boys we'll get to seem him once again playing an orphan - though this time without his magic powers. The sentimental-looking movie has Radcliffe in the role of Maps, a boy who, along with three of his fellow orphans, goes to spend a holiday by the ocean. There they find out that a couple in town intends to adopt one of them, and the band of brothers compete against each other to be chosen. From the trailer this looks to be a sweet kind of coming-of-age story, so I will definitely check it out when it opens September 14. To see the trailer,

New Trailer For The Watch: See the Aliens!

The latest preview for The Watch is here, and while the first trailer for the suburban alien-fighting comedy gave us a good look at the bromance between Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, Vince Vaughn, and Richard Ayoade, it was lacking in plot. Now we get a look at not only the characters, but also a little bit more of the story, and we even get a peek at one of the aliens. I mean, it's dead (kind of) but it's still pretty exciting.

This trailer definitely isn't as crass as the first red-band one, but I don't think its lack of crudeness takes away from the dynamic between the characters. Now we know the origin of the sweet neighborhood watch jackets ("It's like the Chinese symbol for shut up and dance!") and the group's skilled interrogation techniques. Plus we still get to see some exploding cow. The movie hits theaters July 27, but you can check out the new trailer after the jump.

The Great Gatsby Trailer: DiCaprio Always Looks So Cool

The trailer for Baz Luhrmann's film adaptation of The Great Gatsby is everything I hoped it would be: visually stunning, stylish, and sexy. Of course, he has the benefit of his source material being set in the 1920s, a period that offers amazing costumes, cars, and sets, especially when the story focuses on the elite and their lavish parties. At the center of those parties is Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio), a mysteriously wealthy man who enjoys throwing big, fancy events but doesn't seem to relish the attention that goes with them. He prefers to watch from afar, particularly when it comes to Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan), a naive but beautiful young woman in an unhappy marriage, whom Gatsby admires.

If you had to read the story in high school like most of us did, then you know how narrator Nick (Tobey Maguire)'s story goes. There's sex, scandal, and tragedy as we learn more about the inner workings of the upper class. This is all hinted at in the preview, along with Luhrmann's signature polish that's reminiscent of his smash hit Moulin Rouge. My only gripe is that the Kanye song feels a bit out of place, but that hardly impedes my excitement for this movie.
