Sony's 3D Meatballs held its place for the second weekend in a row, making $24.6 million, followed by Willis's sci-fi movie Surrogates ($15 million) and Fame ($10 million), which both just opened Friday.

After countless box office hits, Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence are going back to their roots on network shows In Living Color and Martin.
Each actor portrayed an unfortunate-looking female character on their respective '90s shows — "Sheneneh" for Lawrence and "Wanda" for Foxx, and now the pair will team up to portray them in a movie called Skank Robbers. Stemming from a fake trailer of the same name at a recent awards show, studio Screen Gems picked up the movie, with Foxx and Lawrence writing and producing.

Disney received an early present this year: The revamped version of the classic tale A Christmas Carol took the top spot at the box office in its opening weekend with $31 million. While that figure is on the low end of studio estimates for the film, insiders hope that it will continue to gain more movie-goers as we near the holidays. Following behind at No.

Talk about a shocker! The low-budget underdog Paranormal Activity has been riding its growing popularity all the way to the top — even upsetting the reigning king of horror, the Saw franchise. Paranormal took in $22 million in its first weekend with a wide release, which has execs talking about a possible sequel.

Another Halloween has come and gone, and as usual I saw plenty of costumes from the pop culture world. As expected, there were some Jon and Kates (like Heidi and Spencer's rendition), a few Edwards and Bellas, and some Michael Jacksons in the mix.
Then there were a few more obscure references that pleasantly surprised me — one of my co-workers rocked it as Joanna from Office Space, and two of my friends were adorable in homemade outfits inspired by the movie Eagle vs.
