When I think of Jennifer Aniston, things that immediately spring to mind include stuff like high-profile relationships (and breakups), really toned arms, nice tan, perfect hair. In other words, she can sometimes seem larger than life, and it's easy to forget that she can still play the "everyday gal" with the best of them.
I loved her in The Good Girl and really enjoyed her performances in Office Space and Friends with Money, which is why it's exciting to get a good look at Management, a movie in which she portrays a pretty average lady alongside Steve Zahn and Woody Harrelson.

I remember when I first heard the casting news for the romantic comedy Management, and it seemed like an awesome idea to pair up the underrated (in my opinion) Steve Zahn with Jennifer Aniston. And ever since the movie earned some positive buzz after debuting at the Toronto International Film Festival, I've been anxious to see some footage.
Now we've got a clip from the movie, which is funny and gives me a better sense of the tone.

Last weekend, the entertainment industry was shocked when Sony pulled the plug on Steven Soderbergh's baseball movie that was going to star Brad Pitt — just days before the movie was supposed to start shooting.
Based on a bestseller by Michael Lewis, Moneyball was going to be a feature-length film about the true story of Oakland Athletics' general manager Billy Beane (Pitt) who put together a successful baseball team based on a new way of measuring a player's skill via stats. It might sound kind of dry, but having read both the book and an early, leaked version of the script, I can vouch for it being a compelling story.

Aliens and chains and vampires, oh my! The top 14 dancers on So You Think You Can Dance delivered one of the more eclectic sets of routines of the season — if not the whole series — on Wednesday, with props and quirky characters galore. A few dancers stood out, but nobody fell completely flat, which should make Thursday's results show an interesting one.

It's July, and things are heating up both outside and in the entertainment world. My calendar this month is full of must-have book releases, movie premieres, and TV series debuts, but for today, I've managed to whittle the list down to seven favorites. I've got two books worthy of checking out, plus some DVD releases worth noting.

The truth is, no matter what I or anyone else says about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, audiences around the globe will flock to see it. I mean, duh — it's big, it's shiny, it goes boom, and it has boobs. It's just what the doctor ordered for audiences looking for some good old-fashioned Hollywood escapism just when it's getting too hot to use our brains.
