I already told you that werewolves were the new vampires, and I have evidence in spades: first, news broke that there's a movie adaptation in the works of wolf romance novel Shiver, and today comes the news that '80s werewolf thriller The Howling will be remade as The Howling: Reborn. But like vampires, werewolves aren't anything new - and to prove it, check out my list of some of the best werewolf characters in pop culture.

The Top 10 Moments of the 2009 American Music Awards

The <a href=http://buzzsugar.com/tags/american+music+awards">American Music Awards promised us big-name musical acts, and it delivered. I was there for every moment from the red carpet to the press room to the closing performance (a very jaw-dropping routine by Adam Lambert). Taylor Swift dominated the honors, and I've already shared the full list of winners; now, I'm here to bring you all of the other highlights from the evening - including the stuff you didn't see. Ready? Let's begin!

Buzz's Favorite Dance Flicks

Remake Fame comes out on Friday, with a whole new cast of kids as talented students. The number one reason I'd see it: the dance numbers. It doesn't matter what style, I am a sucker for dance movies. As bad as the plot and dialogue might be, when the dance sequence comes on, it's just so . . . fun! There's no better way to describe it, and since I consider myself a dance movie aficionado, I'm sharing my favorites.

Are These TV Shows the "New Classics"?

If you like lists, you should really check out the current issue of Entertainment Weekly, which has tons of No. 1s to debate as they break down the "new classics" in various fields of entertainment. The issue names the best movies, TV shows, movie posters, books, and even theme songs of the past 25 years - an overwhelming amount of information, but also a great read.

I got especially sucked into their list of the 100 New Classic TV Shows. It's pretty impressive that they managed to cover the whole pop-culture spectrum, from high-brow (The Sopranos, The Wire) to low-brow (The Osbournes). Even Saved by the Bell got a spot, albeit the final spot. My main quibbles are with placement: 30 Rock above The Office? Dawson's Creek all the way down at No. 90?

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this list, especially because - unlike, say, the AFI movie lists - these are all shows that have actually been on the air in my lifetime. What would you change or move? Is anything missing entirely? Check out the full list, or to see the top 25, just read more.

The Simpsons (1989-present)

The Sopranos (1999-2007)

Seinfeld (1989-98)

Best of 2007: The Best of the Lists

This year, nothing got us buzzing quite like a good list. Want to debate the best documentaries, TV icons, indie rock albums, or memorable TV moms and daughters of all time? BuzzSugar was the place. I wanted to revisit some of my favorite debates; go back and weigh in, if you haven't already!

Are These the Worst TV Shows Ever?

With the cancellation of the (very) short-lived Viva Laughlin a couple of weeks back, the Chicago Tribune went out on a limb and wrote up a list of the 25 worst shows of all time. Lists like this are obviously meant for debate, so I have to take issue with a few of the choices, namely: Mr. Belvedere? Come on! That show was an important part of my childhood! It was sweet! I was too young to know it was bad! (Also along those lines, but a little bit more understandable why it's on the worst list: Small Wonder.)

I unfortunately haven't seen many of the older terrible shows in question; I only wish I could make my own jokes about Petticoat Junction. But I do agree with some of the more contemporary shows on the list: The Jerry Springer Show, Barney and Friends, and the entire run of the XFL among them.

But I think the list missed a big opportunity by not including some of the more odious reality shows of the past decade or so. I'd at least put Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire on the list before, say, Cavemen. Would you? To see the full list and talk about what shows would be in your 25 worst, just read more

The Chicago Tribune's 25 Worst Shows Ever
You're in the Picture
Petticoat Junction
My Mother the Car
Turn-On
Ernest Angley Hour
B.J. and the Bear
When Things Were Rotten
Mr. T. and Tina
The Ropers
Joanie Loves Chachi
Mama's Family
Manimal
Mr. Belvedere
Small Wonder
Life with Lucy
Beauty and the Beast
Cop Rock
Pink Lady and Jeff
The 100 Lives of Black Jack Savage
The Jerry Springer Show
Barney and Friends
Homeboys in Outer Space
The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer
XFL
Cavemen

Top 5 TV Moments That Always Make Me Cry

I've said before that I'm a bit of a sap, and it's never more evident than when I break into tears while watching TV. There are a bunch of moments that always make me lose it - no matter how predictable or silly they are, no matter how many times I've seen them - and so, just in case you're feeling mopey today, I'm counting down a few of the scenes most consistently guaranteed to leave me drowning in a pile of soggy tissues.

No. 5: The final moments of "A Wedding Story"
There was a period in my life when I worked nights and had days free, and so my morning routine went a little like this: Wake up late, make lunch, turn on TLC, cry. The whole "A [Something] Story" block of programming could make me weepy - yes, even "A Makeover Story," in my weaker moments - but "A Wedding Story" was by far the worst. No matter what squabbles the couples had on their way to the ceremony, no matter how many disasters with the caterers or the parents, the couples always made it down the aisle just fine, looking beautiful and ready to say "I do."

No. 4: The crowning of the "American Idol"
It's one of the most predictable events in television, at this point. Most of the time, it's not even surprising to learn which of the final two "Idol" contestants is going home with the crown, and we've already heard the cheesy coronation song at least twice. But there's still something about an overwhelmed teen or 20-something getting showered with confetti and balloons, singing in front of an audience of millions and somehow holding it together despite the overwhelming emotions, that gives me chills - regardless of whether I even like the winner.

Three more, including my No. 1 scene guaranteed to bring the tears, so read more

No. 3: The big reveal on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"
My gym used to show ABC's programming block on Sunday nights, and I'd go early to make sure I snagged a treadmill in time for "Desperate Housewives." But I had to stop, because getting there early meant catching the part of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" where the family in need gets their first view of their new house. I don't even like the show, but as soon as the kids of the family began screaming at the sight of their new racecar- or dolphin-themed bedrooms, I became mayor of Waterworks City - while simultaneously stumbling through a jog.

No. 2: The end of the "Grey's Anatomy" pilot
I was hooked on "Grey's" the moment the very first episode revealed that Meredith's narration had actually been a speech to her mother, who is so ravaged by Alzheimer's Disease that she no longer knows who Meredith is. There's this one perfect shot when Ellis looks up at Meredith blankly and asks "Are you a doctor?" that just makes me feel like I've been socked in the stomach - no matter how many times I watch it, even now that I know it's coming.

No. 1: The final moments of "Six Feet Under"
I always say that the ending of "Six Feet Under" is my favorite series finale ever, but to be honest, I didn't really even see it until the day after it aired - simply because I was too busy sobbing the first time through to see much more than a blur of shapes and colors. I don't want to say too much about it so as not to spoil it for anyone who might still be catching up on DVD, but it's the perfect mixture of satisfying moments and heartbreaking revelations. Because I'm a glutton for punishment, I dug up the YouTube video, but I seriously advise against watching it in public.

Are You Surprised by Forbes's Top-Earning Men in Prime Time?

Forbes recently released the list of Prime Time's Top-Earning Men. Who made the cut? In order, they are: Simon Cowell, followed by Donald Trump, Ryan Seacrest, Charlie Sheen, Steve Carell, Howie Mandel, Kiefer Sutherland, Jeff Foxworthy, Hugh Laurie, and at No. 10 (a tie!) David Caruso of CSI: Miami and Patrick Dempsey.

Simon Cowell at No. 1 is a no-brainer, thanks to the unstoppable machine that is American Idol (not to mention all of his other shows). But there are a few names that made me do a double take. Jeff Foxworthy, for instance - who knew that Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader was such a money generator? And where's Jeff Probst? I guess the Survivor franchise doesn't carry as much clout as I thought.

What about you? Other than maybe Simon Cowell at number 1, do you find this list surprising?

Announcing the Winners: 2009 American Music Awards

The American Music Awards show is over, and I've got your full list of who earned trophies. Following her big CMA wins, Taylor Swift dominated in the female categories, taking home AMAs for favorite artist in both pop and country categories as well as the top honor of them all: Artist of the Year.

Besides Ms. Swift, there were plenty of others who triumphed, like country act Gloriana, who pulled off a shocker of an upset with Breakthrough Artist over Lady Gaga. (Even Gloriana poked fun at the win, asking the audience to raise a show of hands if they didn't know who they are.) Michael Jackson won four posthumous honors, and his brother Jermaine took the stage with family members to accept on his behalf. I'll be going over all of the highlights from the show tomorrow - including some of my red carpet coverage and notes from the press room - so check back then! For now, be sure to vote on Fab's fashion polls and Bella's beauty polls from the night's looks.
