Recently, a rumor started circulating regarding a fourth installment of the Bourne franchise. Pulling a line from a Variety article about upcoming Universal Pictures projects, some people believed that the fourth movie was a done deal, but according to an Empire article, this is all news to director Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon.

Plenty of suspense, intrigue, and fight scenes that somehow make Matt Damon even sexier than ever all add up to the most exciting and tensely gripping movies of the summer.

Fox 2000 has acquired the rights to mystery writer Patricia Cornwell's bestselling series about medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta — with Angelina Jolie eyeing the lead role in the film adaptation. Here's more:

Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones, and writers Greg Daniels and Michael Schur just got the room laughing here at the TCA press tour in their first session for their new show. (Seriously, go here to hear about Poehler's Jason Bourne connection.)The show's still untitled, but we now know a little bit about the plot: Poehler plays Leslie, a mid-level local government operative who partners with Jones's character to help get a park built. Ansari plays a schmoozing networker who's most interested in his own rise.

No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood led the field this morning when the Oscar nominations were announced in Hollywood. Each film snagged eight nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
After it raked in a huge number of Golden Globe nominations, Atonement made less of a splash here, scoring nods for Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress but largely getting shut out of other major categories.

Today there's news of the spy movie Edwin A. Salt, purportedly starring Tom Cruise, which may get Phillip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger, Patriot Games) on board to direct. In the story, Cruise would play "a CIA officer who's accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy.
