Now that Robert Pattinson is an international heartthrob, here comes a movie he starred in pre-Twilight: How To Be. In the dramedy, "A young man having an existential crisis convinces a Canadian self-help guru to come to London and become his personal life coach." Pattinson plays this young-man-in-crisis and he seems to do well with it.

Looks like Jennifer Lopez is making her way around the TV circuit. Just last week there were rumblings that she could make an appearance on Glee, and today it's been confirmed that we'll see her on an upcoming episode of How I Met Your Mother!
Lopez will play Anita Appleby, "an outspoken self-help guru who makes it her mission to break caddish Barney of his womanizing ways."

Who needs an ensemble romantic comedy when you can have an equally star-studded action thriller? Steven Soderbergh has lined up three Oscar winners — and one nominee (sorry, Jude) — for his upcoming film, Contagion. Matt Damon and Jude Law are already on board, while the lovely Kate Winslet and Marion Cotillard are circling the project.

While rumors still circulate about who might replace a departing Simon Cowell (with Howard Stern adding his name to the list of contenders), tonight begins the American Idol makeover!
To kick-start the Hollywood week portion of auditions, we'll be saying good-bye to guest judges as Ellen DeGeneres takes her place on the panel — and I cannot wait to see how she meshes with the team (particularly the curmudgeonly Simon Cowell).
DeGeneres's involvement actually gets me pretty amped for this season.

This week's House is all about Cuddy! The show follows the harried single mom through a particularly stressful day at Princeton Plainsboro, and as such, we see the entire series of events from her perspective for a change a la the "Wilson" episode. My verdict: the woman is majorly ruthless.

It's the night we HIMYM fans have been waiting for — the show's 100th episode! All the anticipation is due to the little hints about the special that have been leaked over the past few months. First we've got appearance of guest star Rachel Bilson, who may or may not be the mother (though she may have some stiff competition).

AMC Theaters has announced its annual Oscar marathon, offering the chance to see all the nominees for Best Picture in one sitting. This year, the stakes have changed a bit — since there's 10 movies in the category, the special will actually take place on two separate Saturdays, showing five movies on each one.
Taking in five films in a day is one thing, but repeating it a week later seems a little aggressive.
